92nd minute, free kick find Yang Xu on the back post for the goal and the win (was he offside?!), great to see him get a goal, he's not going to take over for Han Peng, but he should be in Gao's mind when selecting the final Asian Cup roster.

Very disappointing performance tonight, yes China controlled the ball most of the time, but Latvia had a few dangerous counterattacks and a very weak squad. China had a B roster out there for the most part too, but guys like Deng Zhuoxiang, Rong Hao, and Yang Hao are going to see playing time in the Asian Cup, and the other guys are fighting for a spot, so you'd expect more...

This is similar to the roster that will go to the Asian Cup, but there are a number of kids who are just getting call ups and who are highly unlikely to be on the Asian roster (ie Li Jianbin, Matijiang, Li Xuepeng) and at least one name that is absent (Yan Xiangchuang).

I wouldn't put too much faith in the FIFA site. It doesn't have people finding fixtures on their own but relies solely on media reports.

nice, the most capped player on the team has 8 caps!

On a side note, what a lovely chart! http://www.fifa.com/associations/association=chn/ranking/gender=m/index.html
Just look at all those lower lows, if a MACD higher low is formed, we could be soon on a break out, ala. GOOG here:
