    BEAT ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE

Atlanta Beat General Manager Shawn McGee announced the expansion team’s 2010 regular season schedule including three back to back May home games, a July 3 evening match, two home Marta appearances, and a home opener against the 2009 WPS Champions.

After kicking-off the inaugural season on the road against fellow expansion team, Philadelphia Independence on April 11, the Beat travels to the Washington Freedom and FC Gold Pride (Bay Area) before returning home to unveil a brand-new facility.

The Atlanta Beat opens its stadium for the first time against 2009 WPS Champions, Sky Blue FC on Sunday May, 9 in the world’s first women’s soccer specific stadium of this magnitude. The Beat also hosts the Washington Freedom and St. Louis Athletica on back to back weekends in May before traveling in the early part of June.

With five nationally televised contest on Fox Soccer Channel’s WPS Sunday, the Beat’s inaugural season features at least two home match-ups in every month of competition from May-September.

Below is the complete Atlanta Beat 2010 schedule with televised appearances highlighted in yellow:

if you check here there are 5 listed national broadcasts. I think the April 24 broadcast didn't show up on the TV schedule because it is a pre-season game BEFORE the home opener....but why are there 2 games listed for April 24 on the ATL schedule??

this is what it says for ATL's schedule....

    Saturday, April 24, 2010
    Washington Freedom vs Atlanta Beat
    Maryland Soccer Plex
    4:00 p.m.
    FSC
    Saturday, April 24, 2010
    Saturday, April 24, 2010
    FC Gold Pride
    Atlanta Beat
    Pioneer Stadium
    4:00 p.m.

...apparently we are now fielding 2 teams, so we can play in different places at the same time :D haha

Maybe Shawn can provide some insight into this? Who plays who on April 24 and is it televised?

What is the timeline on availability of the jerseys and stuff like that? Not that it is the most important thing to worry about at the moment, but we don't seem to have anything.
