I read they will offer 35-40 mill euro, but Roma would want more if they were to sell him. Who knows how true this is though. I just hope they keep him.
I read in spanish papers Madrid would give 40 mil plus Benzema for De Rossi. Then I read the same but Van der Vaart. Thats quite a deal but I still say NO. The spanish press cant be trusted anyways. De Rossi only for 200 mil plus ronaldo I think theres some good names on that RB list. Have we been linked with all of them? Rosi would be ok same with Masiello, I agree those are most likely, I really like Marcos Angeleri too but my favourtie is Caceres. I think he will be a great defender when his career is over, lots of people say hes not disciplined enough but hes still young and he plays with his heart. rememebr Sergio Ramos, he used to get schooled by everyone and red cards all the time, now he is one of the best, same with Maldini, even he went through years of getting schoold by people like Baggio but defenders need to go through that to become great. I think Caceres has all the right tools and would look good in the giallorossi shirt. Anyways it would be nice to see Motta get more time at RB next year, hopefully hes still around
Van Der Vaart +40 mil is a good deal. They can buy a few good young prospects with that money. De Rossi is a sentimental choice and all but this is a business in the end and the cuore /heart only goes so far in today's soccer world. Money talks!
They sold Aquiliani and didn't miss a beat on the pitch. It really comes down to what's best for the club.
I think we need to add a RB, a winger and a forward this offseason. Selling De Rossi would be counterproductive because it would be impossible to replace him. If they were to sell him, it would have made more sense last year after they missed out on champs league football.

Motta needs to grow, he will become a great player for la nazionale when he matures and I hope its with Roma, it takes time to become great defender in Italy, he has the skills. I love De Rossi but they should up the price to 80-100 mil. Why not? If they want him bad enough, they got to pay for him......
And you think selling De Rossi is in the club's interest. :rolleyes Who would replace him? How can we even believe the money would be reinvested considering the debt hanging over the owner and the complete failure to reinvest a single penny of the Aquilani money? And how can you even compare selling Aquilani to De Rossi. One played 10% of games at most, the other plays 90% of games at most. I'm sure we would never miss a beat.
Livorno - Roma ended 2-2 with both goals being a direct result of Motta. Had Cassetti played we would have won that game and we would be Champions of Italy. Motta cost us the title, and worse of all he cost us the title not be getting beaten by a world class player, but by botching something elementary like the offside trap ... botched it twice in one freaking game.
DeRossi was replaced in the derby by Taddei and he played better. No one is invincible. The days of the one man one club (Maldini, Totti, Del Piero) are over. If they can sell him for a high price and get 2-3 more players, why not?
I agree completely. Theres no one alive who can replace De Rossi unless we made some magical bid for Essien but whats the point when we already have DDR

thats true, that game was crucial and Motta played poorly but I still think hes promising and would be worth keeping. what about Riises poor excuse for marking against Samp? that was disgraceful and cost us the title even more directly
Ibra forced his way out, Inter didn't want to sell him. He got his head mounted by the Swedish press that told him he needed a bigger team in order to win the CL because Inter was not on his level. That's the real story on why Ibra left Inter, they did the same thing with the NT. They put every problem on everyone but Ibra. Now they failed to qualify for the WC and Ibra has quit the team because he's above them. No comparison to selling a player that doesn't want to leave because you are broke and there is no money to invest. Sell the damn business at that point and move on.
