I had a feeling he wouldn't be back. Oh well.

Thanks for all the great years, Andy.

Damn.... i was really hoping against hope that he wold come back for one more year seeing how we needed him badly. When Lee didn't sign i thought Andy won't say no, seeing how the situation is.

Oh well. Can't complain about him. Thanks for everything Andy. You were a class act. Even through the whole PED thing. He handled it with his typical grace and almost all baseball people forgave him in a matter of weeks and thats a reflection on him as a person.

Prediction: He won't make the hall and that would be totally unfair.

I think his 19 postseason wins(MLB record) will get him in eventually.

The 19 wins......... man, i don't know. 19-10 3.83 ERA. Historically it hasn't really impacted the hall voters. His PED thing is gonna kill any chance he has.

If there was a stat for "pitching under pressure/closing out series" he would be on top. Actually there should be one. I would call it the ABS (average ball size). Andy's ABS in the playoffs would be like 5.88 or something. Big balls. :D

The advanced metrics stat could also be called the ROWYCO.

Rock out with your cock out. Oh yeahhh.... :D

I'm extremely upset over the Pettitte news. So much so that it's better I don't comment because I'll end up blasting him -- like I did the last time he walked out on us and signed with the Astros.

(And I don't think he'll ever make the Hall of Fame, even though there are plenty of stiffs in that place who couldn't hold Andy's glove.)

Not a Yankee fan but I always liked Andy Pettite. Just a dedicated work horse. Good luck to him in retirement.

Aceves is now with Boston. Seems the Yanks lost interest in him because of his recent injuries.

    Bartolo Colon jeesh!
I miss Andy already and its only been a couple weeks.

If Andy can't get in the HoF, I will at least put him in the Supplemental Hall of Fame with Big Mac, Sosa, Barry, Roger and Sheff.

I thought Betances looked great. He only faced 4 batters, but his pitches had a lot of pop and movement. Hope it's a sign of things to come.
