Pittsburgh to get new Sports Complex announced by the County Executive yesterday, the area known as the Montour Junction will be developed by the county into a 74 acre sports complex which is rumored to include a new soccer stadium for the Riverhounds FC along with facilities and practice fields this is very good news and should allow the Hounds to finally become the club that they've always envisioned
Re: Pittsburgh to get new Sports Complex Here's an article from the yesterday's Pittsburgh Trib. But on a down note, it mentions that the county would need donations to be able to do the project. http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/s_576651.html
Re: Pittsburgh to get new Sports Complex The team that they've always envisioned? Does that mean you'll win TWO games this season? I dunno, that's a pretty big dream. Anyway, I got get that there's going to be a stadium built for the Mutts from that article.
Re: Pittsburgh to get new Sports Complex that's just because you're not bright enough to make the connections
Re: Pittsburgh to get new Sports Complex Right. You guys can barely get 900 people for a game and you're expecting a new stadium. It's hilarious.
Re: Pittsburgh to get new Sports Complex No...it's called vision. It's called initiative. Certain soccer people in Pittsburgh have had this idea for awhile. We almost had a SSS back a few years ago and the Hounds actually presented the idea of a SSS at a meet and greet before the season started. This is just a possibility for the Hounds, and not to mention local youth, amateur, and college teams, to use for matches. BTW, you get barely 900 for a game and you're top of the league. It's not hilarious...just sad.
Re: Pittsburgh to get new Sports Complex Let's take a look at our last three attendance numbers (remember, our field holds at max about 2,000 people). 7/4 - 1,866 6/28 - 1,592 6/20 - 1,791 Now, let's look at yours 7/5 - 892 6/29 - 850 6/21 - 1,023
Re: Pittsburgh to get new Sports Complex Considering at least one other thread that's devolved into a namecalling thread, I'm starting to wonder if we need a USL Rivalries forum...
Re: Pittsburgh to get new Sports Complex Blah blah blah Riverhounds are still sitting in last place. You guys can barely beat our sloppy seconds. And shit, people on the Steel Army's forum don't even think that there will be a stadium
Re: Pittsburgh to get new Sports Complex Yeah, I'm one of them that said the article didn't mention the building of an SSS for the Hounds...but I hope I'm wrong. Difference between us and you is that you would say, 'There's no way we're getting a SSS out of this for the Stars.' and leave it at that. WE say, 'There's no way we're getting a SSS out of this for the Hounds...but there still may be a chance.' We have hope. You have no hope. That's also the difference between Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
Well, just like last season there probably won't be a whole lot of Riverhounds discussion going on here on BigSoccer ... cause its all happening at http://forums.steelarmy.com Come on over and join the discussion. Idiocy is not tolerated.
Idiocy isn't tolerated? Well then you definitely won't have any Pittsburgh supporters posting here...
yo to both of you can we keep this clear of the usual Bigsoccer ignorance and stupidity, I mean you haven't gotten there yet but you guys both know what I mean. Come on you Hounds!!!!
Famous Green Army...... Please, please, oh please tell me that you guys are thinking of adding 'FAMOUS' to the Gree Narmy monikor.
nope. we're not. Why would you care? That being said, you are obsessed with us. Have fun being one of the only supporters in USL-2. I bet you'll miss us.
Ohh, I was kind of hoping you guys were planning adding 'Famous' to your guys fan club. If you did I would have made the suggestion that you change the name to Famous Army of Green. Obsessed? With what? You guys? Cleveland? No not really, of course we wouldn't mind seeing this happen in Oops state ohio: I guess it's a natural thing for West Pa's to just plain hate Cleveland. Oh, it looks like that PNC takeover of National City is going to go through. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08347/934707-85.stm
