New England v. Real Salt Lake - JURISEVIC / STRICKLAND / MUSCHIK / CHAPIN Chicago v. New England - HERNANDEZ / CLEMENT / BALCIUNAS / WILEY
Goddammit, that's another two points. At the stadium, I wasn't sure. Everyone's cursing the AR, and I'm saying "we're not in the best place to tell; he was in a much better position than we were." But I went home and watched it on TV, and goddamn it if he didn't screw it up. SEVEN ********ING POINTS NOW.
If it makes you feel any better, Paul Scott wrongly denied Cornell Glen two valid goals in the San Jose game (at 1:30 and 11:56), and Ricardo Salazar went along with both judgments. The first was a horrific call (presumably Scott made the call because of the hand Glen put on Conrad's shoulder), the second one was much more controverial (Rauwshan McKenzie appeared to deliberately head a San Jose long ball back to his keeper, apparently forgetting about or oblivious to the obviously offside Glen).
I wish I could go and look. I used to record every single match (or every one I could, given that sometimes they schedule more than two matches simultaneously, and my DVR only lets me record two at a time) and watch them all, or at least substantial parts of them all. I've stopped doing that this season -- I watch a lot less of matches in which I'm a neutral than I have in any previous season. And I hate to say it, but the biggest reason that's true this year has been what seems to me a downturn in the quality of refereeing in MLS matches -- it makes the matches in which I'm a neutral much less fun to watch. (well, it makes the matches in which I'm *not* a neutral less fun too; but I'm still going to watch those because I have an overriding reason to, of course)
Bootsy, this thread is for reviewing assignments, not complaining about calls in given games. If you'd like to review a given game, feel free to join a thread on that game or start your own. I'd tread carefully, because we try to do so in a professional and objective manner.

Thanks for posting the USOC final. I was at work during that game so I wasn't really paying attention to the referee assignments. Anyway, on to a very short week 25: New England v. Kansas City - ANNO / FLETCHER / BALCIUNAS / SUCKLE Dallas v. D.C. United - SALAZAR / GANSNER / TAYLOR / WILEY Colorado v. Toronto - VAUGHN / STRICKLAND / BRAGG / CHOUAF
I think we are going to see some of the newer guys getting more matches, and maybe a new face or two. With 3 referees in the pool done for the season and Weyland retiring at season's end, the pool is getting pretty thin.
I don't think you're going to see any new faces this late in the season. Anno and Jurevisic are two "newer" referees who have been getting a lot of assignments already, so the adjustments have already been made, I think. Ward's getting more matches than in the past as well, as has Moody. I think you'll see some guys get their first playoff matches, for sure--but introducing a new referee to the league during the stretch run? Can't see it happening. Oh, and I think I'm ready to go way out on a limb now and say Salazar gets MLS Cup. But I've been wrong before.
I could see us getting a few new faces if you have a Kansas City vs New York match or something like that in the final month. Kinda like how Clattenburg got a match on the final day of the season in May between two mid-table teams who had nothing to play for.
