The SkyBus planes aren't little dinky things are they?

I'm somewhat interested in Columbus, but I doubt I'll go. I'm really pushing for Toronto.

As Bryan said, cheaper is better.

    Anyone driving?:D

I looked at hotels.com booking flight and hotel together and got a direct flight from Boston to Toronto and 2 nights at the Sheraton City Centre for about 475 bucks based on 2 people in the room.

See my previous post. If I can get a car-load of people, I'm totally up for it. By my calculations (which is basically the fact that it costs less than $100 round trip to visit my parents in Buffalo), it would be a lot cheaper.

I'm still up for flying to Buffalo and then driving to Toronto.

I now am the proud owner of a hybrid toyota prius which I would drive all the way there and it would cost nothing but its not registered and I don't plan on doing it any time soon. I live across from a t stop and this trip would be the only time I would drive.

Having been to Skydome for several Sox games I can say every seat has a pretty good view. If we get a group seat and take over a section maybe in the bleachers or upper deck we can display our banners and such. Make a mixed one with the Revs & Sox.

Their flights for september are not posted yet however the first 10 seats are always 10 dollars and usually the sooner you book, the cheaper the fares are. I may hold off until sept to check out Cbus. I subsribed to their updates so I should get an email on when they post their future flights

    Hi Guys / Girls

    Happy New Year

Don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I think our issue this year in TFC land will be ticket related (before anyone starts I know we may have other soccer related issues but I am talking off the playing field).

We upped our season ticket allotments to 16,000 and also sold out on our multi game packages. I know the club wants to be able to offer local kids soccer clubs tickets so i am not sure how many tickets are even going to be available for sale.

Does MLS require the home team to keep so many available for travellors like yourself? We will likely have 1100 - 1500 people going to Columbus for our opener - 1100 have been sold and now the club is putting on same day buses - but there is no way we could reciprocate for Columbus fans if they wanted to invade our field in large numbers because they are not any tickets.

All the best to you and your team in 2008:D

From what I understand they hold 100 tickets for away supporters...but will require a deposit from us very soon!

    Stay tuned!:D

Those of you making the trip out to Colorado will be invited to let us return the hospitality you've shown us at MLS Cups over the last couple of years. Contact me or bilfish when it gets closer and we'll give you the tailgating info for you to join us. We can share tales of woe at the hands of Clavijo.

If we're going back to Columbus, should we call O'Shaughansey's and warn them not to run out of Guiness, Harp and Smithwicks again?

That is great news. BMO is much better when supporters for both squads are there. Hopefully they will seat visiting supporters above and not below local fans. Everyone who enters the stadium should be able to sit / stand without having crap thrown at them.

That is correct. I'm already in contact with them.
That'd be great. We tailgated with some of your fans last year, and while the game sucked, everyone was very nice to us.
I'll give 'em a call as it gets closer, but it doesn't appear we'll have anywhere close to as many people.

How long of a drive is it? According to my friend, if we drive up we will have a free place to stay outside of the city, plus he's too cheap to get a passport leaving flying to Toronto out of the question.

I just realized it's going to be a couple of hours extra for you if you're coming from Cape Cod.
My estimations are from Central CT. If you wanted to do the drive here on Thursday night, you're more than welcome to stay on my floor.

Everyone seems down on the Travel Lodge. Does it really suck that bad? Wouldn't a similar-priced hotel also suck just as bad? I stayed at the Westin Harbour Palace, down the lakefront from there on Queen's Quay, and it was really nice. But that was for bid-ness, so I wasn't paying for it!

The place was a dump, and quite expensive for a dump as well.
