Were people planning on staying in the same hotel in Toronto again? by same I mean as in together, not in travel lodge. This one seems to be pretty cheap and close to the Rogers Center.

That place looks pretty cool. I'm really liking the idea of using a travelocity type site though and booking hotel and flight. I did a flight search this morning to Toronto, and we were looking at over $400 each. Looking at orbitz, hotel and flight from Boston, staying at the Delta Chelsea, $504 per person, including two nights there. The same hotel from travelocity is $444 per person.

that's a bit rich for my blood. If anyone finds a cheap flight please post the info here. I'd love to be able to get one for around a hundered like last year (even if we have to drive from Buffalo).
If you go to JetBlue.com, round trip to Buffalo is just over $200. I was looking at that as well, but, and yes, this is just me ... if I'm only paying a couple hundred more, not having to rent a car, drive two hours, and pay hotel cost on top ... $444 seems about right.
would we be doing the sox game as a group (i.e. get group rates and sit together) or everyone for them self? I would prefer as a group if we have enough interest.
My hope is that we get everyone together, but that's a good question. The problem becomes when you've got this many people, there are people that are going to want much better seats, and so that could be an issue in keeping the group together.
This is true. I'd rather sit as a group than a bit closer to the field. The website wasn't very forthcoming with prices for group rates so I sent them an email. I'll post back when I get a response.
I've already spoken with them about "good" group seats, so I'll get in touch with the guy again tomorrow. The only reason I worry is that I've been doing a Pats trip for about 10 years now. When it started, everyone sat together (and usually we'd wind up way the hell near the back of the stadium). As the years progressed, slowly people said screw it, and wound up getting seats much closer and ignoring the group tickets.
I'm playing around with the travel sites for the Toronto trip, and I am getting quotes around $700 flying out of Bradley
um, yeah, anyone from up for driving? 6 hours to my parents then 2 hours from there to toronto........
Couple questions... Toronto: I'd probably want to fly to Buffalo and then drive to Toronto like we did las year, it's more expensive this year but it's still reasonable. For me, flying straight to Toronto is out of my price-range. As for the hotel, I really don't care where we stay as long as it's not the Travelodge. Cheaper = better, obviously, and I'd need to find people who want to room with me. Columbus: Would we be staying a night? I'd assume so? As for flights, Skybus (like Garrett mentioned) seems like the best option to me.
Every trip, these choices are up to you. I'd stay the night (maybe two) because I love O'Shaughnessy's in CBus. Great friggin' bar, and we've taken that place over and had an amazing time. Skybus does look like the best option.
What happened to Ed with Dallas? he was pretty pumped about that before. I have been denied vacation time for that trip, but it is going to be reviewed, and I also may find a new job before then. I also really want to do DC in October, and then go down to Williamsburg to go to Busch Gardens, one of the best theme parks in the country, and their Howl-O-Scream, which is an awesome Halloween theme park celebration. Yeah, I realize that everything's up to me, but it's so much easier to do things with a group rather than alone.
I understand that. But it's tough to organize these trips, especially the larger we get as a group. For those of you that were in Toronto, you'll know what I'm talking about. There's not a ton to do in Columbus, but then again, when I do these trips, I don't do them to sight see. I do them to spend time with other Revs fans... and drink. Not necessarily in that order.
