That game in Ulsan last night proved why the K-League is a joke. Suwon, who deserved to lose for other reasons, was screwed when SCG kicked the ball out for injury and Ulsan took the throw in with our man down and made a goal. Un-real. How does the ref not have any control over this? http://www.fcbluewings.com/eng/news/news_view.asp?seq=69&page=1&searchpart=&searchtext=
Yeah, I was impressed with their play. PCY had a few good chances and Ricardo looked good. Did I mention that I was playing a poker tourney at walker hill last wednesday and came across Ricardo. Real nice guy, we played some black jack together.

I don't know why I haven't noticed this before, but I think the K-League is just pathetic. Maybe it's 'cause Suwon looked like a high school team or maybe 'cause korean refs are the worst in the game. Not sure which one, but after watching 4 games this weekend and just watching Seongnam get an equalizer penalty with 10 seconds to go, I have no respect for it. But hey, tommorows another day, maybe I will wake up and feel all better
The equalizer penalty is a clear penalty. Incheon's Kim Hak-cheol pushed Mota in Incheon's penalty area. This is not Mota's simulation action.

actually, i wish the refs in K-league would give out more cards. It's kinda boring when the defenders just hack the opposing player everytime something interesting happens. I find it really tedius when midfielders push in the middle of the field. I guess it's good strategy to stop opposition tempo... but makes the game boring. I can't really compare it to Prem since I don't know enough about football... but it just feels like, even though the players play rough, there is less boring bits of players just standing around. Suwon.. eh... only suwon game i watched was the Suwon vs Ulsan where Ulsan was kicking Suwon's @SS left and right. Mato is freaking awsome. I would believe it in an instant if someone told me that he is the best CB in k league. Him with Lee Woon Jae behind... I would think Suwon has the best people around the goal... but their midfield just crumbled against Ulsan. Kim Nam Il didn't match his name's sake. Kim Dae Ui... intersting player, but not enough against Ulsan. Ulsan was the best all around team (minus Ulsan goal keeper who is young). I was surprised since I figured without LCS, they would suffer. That guy something Sang Ho... if he was only a bit bigger...
I am not debating that, but earlier in the game Dragon hit a ball in front of goal that was clearly handled and the ref had a good view. The referees are pathetic. I don't think that side judges here know the exact definition of "off-sides" I swear they think that it is when the ball gets to the player and not when it was kicked.
"...a Great Time for Football Has Come (...) The six-team play-off system may not be to everyone’s liking but there is no denying that it produces a fascinating final leg to the K-League season." http://www.kfa.or.kr/eng_kfa/news/int_col/view.asp?g_gubun=2&g_conid=2007927104949 all feel this?

I sent mato this message about him and here is his reply. "Can you say a thank for ol Suwon suporter from me. This is very kinde and I am so happy that they have souch a good opinion about me. Thank you very mach and see you soon."
Holy crap, bluewing, you serious? You are jerkin' my chain aren't you? man... i better be more careful when i criticize players. I kinda assumed they wouldn't read the meaningless drivel i write. But I did mean 100% about Mato. He just stopped opposition players cold. I also saw him run constantly forward to support offenders. It was weird because Suwon wings seemed to have just completely stopped and offense has to start with Mato... Midfield kept passing the ball to him and then he would have to come out to move forward... It's funny how the best k-league forward is Mota and best defender is Mato. Anyone know if any K-league mercs get to play for their national team? I assume the Brazillians don't get a chance, but maybe eastern euro guys like Mato does.
Mato started and played full time for Croatia last year in the Carlsberg Cup when they played against KNT. Believe it or not, Jo Won-hee carved him up like a Thanksgiving Turkey.
