LMAO! HSG spares no expense for the Wizards.

I tried to rep, but was denied.

No way. Lamar is sparing no expense. We're going to Wendy's and he'll even let you Biggie size.

I didn't. Apparently the team does not award ROTY.

Yeah, I know you didn't forget it, I know it wasn't awarded.

It's just a joke because out of the other rookies we had, he was the only one to have more than like 10 minutes of play time. So it's a no brainer.

K, maybe I suck at telling jokes.

I actually agree with Nick being DotY. Nick was asked to play 3 different positions this year and did so very, very well. He was a left back for Burciaga during suspensions/injuries, a right back in 3 and 4 back sets, center back when required and was a rock at all three. Jimmy outplayed Nick many games but I can also remember Jimmy also being the one burned or flubbing coverage on more goals than I can remember with Nick.

We obviously didn't watch the same team. Nick rocked this year.

I'm just curious, what did Jimmy Conrad do to earn Humanitarian of the Year? Giving time to charities, donating money? Being funny at a time when Wizards fans needed something to laugh about (rather than cry)?

Just wondering since I'm not in the area and wouldn't know of players' community service/involvement.

Good to know the shaved head wasn't a fashion statement.

Yeah the first game he showed up with it, Cait and I asked him as he went off the field after warmups, and that's what he said, really cool of him to do.

I haven't seen as many Wizards games as you lately, but I still think Conrad was better than Garcia. But Garcia still did have an all-star caliber year.

Jimmy had a good year, but a few things were a knock on him being either MVP or Defender of the year.

    A) He missed quite a few matches with the USMNT, I know that's a good sign for him, but it's not a good sign for the club.

    B) Got beat a few too many times. When we lost to the Fire late in the season, Jimmy got beat by Jaqua which lead to the goal. Then also got beat on Dempsey's goal during the NE game, along with getting beat by Smith and then the none call for a penalty after that. Just a few too many times for him this season.

Still a good year for him but not as good as Nick's

Nick was definitly a beast this year. Here's to hoping (a) we have a team next year (b) we keep Nick (c) and we get to see him score. :)
