Please lord, no water fountains or benches. Dark and handsome Rapids team captain Pablo Mastroeni is one of seven Major League Soccer players featured in a seven-page fashion spread in the March issue of Maxim magazine, hitting newsstands today. The shoot, which took place at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas, features the pro kickers clad in all-white couture duds accessorized with their own snappy soccer cleats. The title of the spread is "White Lines: The Stars of Major League Soccer Fear Nothing. Not Even Grass Stains." Clever.
Reminds me more than a little of the Liverpool clowns showing up for the FA Cup Final back in the day with Fowler et al as the Spice Boys. Fowler. Hehehe.

article states that there'll will be a spanish language broadcaster in '07. Gee, I wonder if this has anything to do w/ The Events of 2006.
If there will be a Spanish language broadcaster for MLS in '07 and beyond, it will be due to Fifa's influence in selling WC and other rights to US broadcasters and kindly reminding them that they should offer domestic league coverage in addition to Fifa event telecasts to folks living in the super media market that is the US. much discussion of this here: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showt...ht=U nivision and here: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showt...ht=U nivision i think a lot of the broadcast details for 2007 and beyond were close to finalization prior to Houston officially getting awarded a team, and therefore prior to the Houston club-naming fiasco.
