Looks like our trainees are kind of in a lottery with the implementation of date specific birthdays:

In practise this means that a player which normally would turn 23 years next season in fact is somewhere between 22 years, 57 days and 23 years, 56 days on Wednesday.

Could mean either a half season younger, or even older... with a serious Andorra Under 20 prospect on my team this could make the difference between selection and not.

Looks like their planning on giving us more cash for the upcoming season, not sure if this will fix the market or not, but I do like extra cash:

7/6/2007 Club owners threaten to cancel next season

The Club Owners Federation (COF) may take drastic action if the Hattrick Football Association (HFA) and the Player Union does not respond to their demands.
    - Many clubs are losing money today and the situation is getting worse. We can´t accept this anymore, the chairman of the COF said today.
According to the COF, the current salary deal with the Player Union is too generous and should be renegotiated. They also point their finger at the HFA on the need to increase ticket and sponsor income.
    - We have raised these issues many times, but the HFA and the Union haven’t listened to us. This time we will not back down so easily, the chairman continued.

The HFA released a written statement, confirming negotiations will start this weekend.
“A solution can be found, but we must not lose the long term perspective. Money is one thing, but we also need to motivate all smart managers to continue doing what they are doing right.”

Good moves imo. Cash has become a rare commodity in HT :)

It would be nice if they could help out the transfer market. I have 2 guys I am selling right now. Hattrick Organiser lists their values as 1.7 mil and 1.4 mil. I listed them starting at 300k and 500k after looking at transfer compares and I am not 100% they will even get an opening bid.

I don't hold out much hope that the ht guys will be able to fix the economy, i think the game has got to big for them, and they wont be able to save it with anything other than big big changes.

The economy of the game is fatally flawed. For many teams, not promoting, throwing games or qualifying matches to stay down is financially better than going up a division. Any game system that penalizes success is doomed to fail. There is one change HT could make, I doubt they will, I'll probably quit of the change is meaningless and doesn't change the overall problem. But i big big help would be to give higher ticket prices for higher divisions. A team going up, even one that knows they will come straight back down, MUST be able to profit from promoting, even if it's for just one season. More revenue the higher up you are. Simple change, will allow teams at the top to afford better players than teams lower down.

Sold an e-t inner mid for $612k. That's laughable, but that is the market at this stage. I think this move will offset the loss of interest for a majority of teams. Stockpiling cash and accumulating interest off it encouraged people to stay down. Down the road getting rid of interest and increasing cash flows through other methods is a good thing. Hattrick is a balancing act and at times my interest with it wanes. I've adjusted to the current state of affairs that Hattrick has provided me with. These new changes are just gravy for my team.

its real. Looks like divisions 4 and 5 and 6 will all get their income doubled, with MLS and second div staying the same. with div 3 teams getting sponsorship cut in half, that's what i'm hearing anyway

Well, I wish they would announce what it is so I can decide whether to keep the IM i just bought for my qualifier. I had one IM out on a red card and another injured so i had to go to the market. I bought a guy I can't really afford on an on-going basis but if they are changing the market I don't want to sell him.

if you want to take the risk, there are magical PM's going for less than 10k. if their wages get cut, they might be worth double that!

WAHHHHH? So DIV and DV will get more sponsorship money than DIII??? This move could only make it even MORE wise to demote on purpose.

This has to be a joke.

Glad I finished 2nd in my IV now... have fun making less sponsorship cash than me :)

Clearly a joke. Don't see why it would be speculation for possible future seasons. I'd rather them not post that at all and not screw with my head if that's the case. I can see them increasing sponsor and ticket sales on a percentage basis with lower divisions getting a slightly higher % increase than upper divisions. Not sure what they'll do with wages but I'm going to buy a tt or e-t inner mid now in hopes that with the wage break and cash increase e-t and maybe mythical mids will be worth something again. Really wish they would just give us the numbers though.
