[IMG]Alrighty folks, looks like we’re officially into the 2nd half of the season, and Palermo are really crappy this year, whether its underachievement or merely because they don’t have a good squad, still can’t underestimate them, despite their god awful away record in Serie A. We have to take every chance to climb up the board as we can. Since Il Ciuccio didn't make the match day thread, hope I can be of some competent service to you!

That’s Palermo’s emblem, basically its the symbol of sacked managers and where we got our world class striker Cavani, so we have that to thank them for, and also taking Aronica and Dossena, even if its a couple of years too late.

That’s Napoli’s emblem in case you’re new here, basically less is more with the emblem, pretty simple stuff. But it’s enough to get beautiful women to love the team

On behalf of the males of the Napoli forum in Bigsoccer, we love you too, poorly photoshopped topless girl!

in case you don’t know who Zamparini is, he’s the owner of Palermo and he’s very well known around Serie A for his lack of patience in managers, and you thought Roman Abramovich was bad with Chelsea, Zamparini one ups him in the sacking managers category. Basically it’s not uncommon to face two different managers when going up against Palermo over the course of a season.

They are managed by Gian Piero Gasperini, the guy Mourinho, while coaching Inter said “Gave him the most trouble.” He’s notorious for his adamence towards the 3 man backline, that would even make Mazzarri scratch his head

But there are two new faces to be seen on the Napoli side due to the transfer window, one didn’t get signed in time to be on the bench, and the other will either start or be on the bench for a much needed left footed LWB

    Emanuele Calaio and Pablo Armero

    [IMG][IMG]

Calaio will NOT be on the bench for the Palermo game due to not being registered within 24 hours, Armero will be on the bench or starting for the Napoli side and here’s what players will be in the matchday squad

Napoli squad for Palermo:De Sanctis, Rosati, Colombo, Britos, Campagnaro, Fernandez, Gamberini, Uvini, Armero, Behrami,Donadel, Dzemaili, El Kaddouri,Hamsik, Inler, Maggio, Mesto, Zuniga, Cavani, L Insigne, Pandev, R Insigne

I bolded the likely starters for the game, the Insigne brothers will be together, and I don’t think Armero will start because hes still new to the side, and probably isn’t caught up on Mazzarri tactics (hint: 1. pass ball to center backs, 2. hoof to cavani 3. ????? 4. PROFIT!)

Hoping Napoli take advantage of a side that is adding players to a system placed on them midseason by Gasperini, personally with bias looking at a 3-1 scoreline favoring the Partenopei, I don’t see Napoli relinquishing a loss at the San Paolo to a side with one of the worst away records in Serie A. Getting good form after a win against Roma will be vital, and Palermo fans on BigSoccer are few, so if any of you guys are around, feel free to join in on the action in this matchday thread! We bitch a lot!

I reallyyyy hope dossena and aronica start so cavani can run them absolutely ragged. I can see Palermo parking the bus though, Abel Hernandez is hurt and miccoli has been off form this season so I doubt they're going to score on us

Palermo's season relies on his form, if he doesn't get into good form they are done.

I think Aronica started last week for Palermo. I'm assuming Dossena gets the nod as well

Would be nice too see both insigne brothers on the pitch at the same time before FT

I think it depends on when and if we wrap things up in the 80th minute well see them on the field together. I think Roberto Insigne is just a depth option on the bench until Calaio comes

No miccoli or hernandez, we have to take advantage... He is a big source of attacking for them. No illcic either. Hopefully Napoli can do what they did to Pescara today!

Since Dossena and Aronica are apparently starting today. Maggio has a chance to be taken off my notorious donkey list and this is a good chance for him. Pandev with a good performance today is that much closer to getting off my donkey list.

hi fellas, apparently palermo are playing 5 at the back and one striker, a back 3 for us would be a waste against 1 striker, would! i should say is gonna be,

also ahead of this game mazzarri unwittingly said one of the funniest things ever
    hahaha
