I actually think our best players have been:
Hamsik, Higuain (new), Callejon (new), Mertens (new), Albiol (new), Reina (new) and as of recently Pandev has been great. Zuniga has been injured most of the season unfortunately.

So the money has been well invested we just needed to spend much more.

We need 1 wing back, one centre back, one defensive midfielder (who are all wold class) and a very good vice Higuain to have a chance against Juve.

In my view biggest disappointments have been Insigne and Armero (Mazzari was right to bench them). We new Maggio was useless.

He was great last game too and against Genoa. Has already 6 goals. I think he is a useful squad player that I like to keep.

Udinese came to San Paola after 2 good back-2-back performances against Fiorentina (win) and Juve(unlucky to lose). Considering their current form I don't think its bad, but to it hurts considering we were 2 goals ahead and committed silly mistakes to gift them a point.

Generous with horrible performances - Basically I've given up on our midfield and one cb, who are contributing our downfall atm, that's the reason for my generosity. But the 2nd goal was very much avoidable, 3-4 players were at fault for not getting the ball out of the danger zone.

Success is always built on a solid midfield which we are lacking atm, we have been winning games coz of our quality in attack.

Looks like he is getting better and kept hold of the ball quite well.

This was about as bad as it gets for a tie. This is Rafa's M.O. though - dropping points at pretty needless times. First Sassuolo. Then Parma. Now Udinese. The fire rises.

Yeah, I was warned by the Chelsea posters on here, he has a tendency to do this... Reading v. Chelsea last year springs to mind

They also lost to QPR at home.

But I rather we get point from competition.
We have 9 points from the following 5 away games (Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio, Juve, Roma). It's quite impressive.

Last year we had 2 or 3 points

its just tough to keep perspective because we did do very well to start the season, and to see Rafa does in fact have flaws just means the honeymoon is over in my opinion.

    lmao....

I went on a 2 paragraph rant on Behrami in the transfers thread, Gargano is much much worse, that rant would be 5 paragraphs perhaps lol

Things are tough as Napoli fans atm, but not THAT tough

Man... who warned you all that Rafa is not the Midas Touch... hmm....

What person who follows the Premier League as well, could that have been....

Anyway, I'm willing to work through it this year. Next year though, I expect some big ********ing things. We just need to focus on chemistry and game situations this year while trying to maintain some top 3 standing. That may be asking a lot. I'm not sure for now.

Yea, Once in a blue moon he gets a long pass right, The problem is he totally ignores his defensive duties and often watches players run towards our box.
this is a stretch, he scored in a game he played shit in and scored 2 in a game he played ok in, also insigne is the one who has sparked most of our attacks for goals, mertens has been ok in some games whilst not being disapointing certainly not one of the best, hamsik was good in the first 5 or 6 games but has been a passenger since and is supposedly the leader but goes missing in the decisive games so his season has been a fail so far
