Alright so we just came of a big Europa league win which proved more difficult than it had to be but lets hope our players gained confidence from the win. Cagliari is a team that always gives us problems so dont even think that this will be an easy game for us. A player we need to watch out for is Marco Sau said to be the next Zola and came in 2nd in the top scorers list with Juve Stabia last season in Serie B. We are without Cavani because of yellow cards. It is rumored that both Insigne and Pandev will start.
Would rather Insigne/Vargas, because Pandev is coming off an injury and he's going to be more apparent with his fitness problems than usual. If Vargas or Insigne are stinking it up, you can bring on Pandev for either/or. But we'll see what Mazzarri has in store for this game.
there is no other option....unless he calls up old man Luca begging him to come out of retirement....thats something that Fergie would do
oh well this could be a good thing can you imagine if both Insigne and Vargas get hot during this game...we would have an amazing strike force...
At least Mazzarri will be obligated to give them 90 minutes of playing time to Vargas and Insigne because if he hardly trusts those two guys, can't imagine him trusting youth players either haha. Insigne already is having a better season than Pandev and Insigne has had to come off of bench
Aronica was allowed to stay despite everyone noticing the guy was a complete liability. I get why Grava stayed because he's been apart of the team since Serie C, and he doesn't make that much money he's a player coach I think. I think if Mazzarri has a say, Pandev stays no matter how bad his form is
yeah I always liked Grava, I mean clearly he would've been completely outdone in Champions League, but I really was happy for Grava when he played a little bit in the Champions League vs. Villarreal when we were winning and he got to be on the field to celebrate going onto the next round. What was the game that Lecce ruined Grava? I forget what happened
Striker shortage for Napoli By Football Italia staff Edinson Cavani, Goran Pandev and Hugo Campagnaro miss tomorrow’s trip to Cagliari, meaning Napoli have only two strikers. Cavani sits out a ban, while Pandev and Campagnaro did not recover from minor injuries and aren’t even in the squad. The only two forwards at Coach Walter Mazzarri’s disposal are Lorenzo Insigne and Eduardo Vargas. This Serie A fixture kicks off at the Is Arenas on Monday at 18.00 GMT. Napoli squad for Cagliari: De Sanctis, Rosati, Colombo; Aronica, Britos,Cannavaro, Fernandez, Gamberini, Grava, Uvini; Behrami, Donadel, Dossena,Dzemaili, El Kaddouri, Hamsik, Inler, Maggio, Mesto, Zuniga; Insigne, Vargas
I could forsee the line up being something like ------Gamberini--------Cannavaro-------Britos--------- ----------------Inler--------------Dzemaili--------------- ------Maggio----------Hamsik------------------Zuniga-- --------------------Insigne-------------------------------- ----------------------Vargas------------------------------- let's see what happens, no Campagnaro, Pandev or Cavani for the game, will make it tough but I have faith in the Insigne/Vargas pairing up top
oh well won't have to hear from Lecce anymore, all the way down in Serie C because of match fixing. Onto Cagliari! Mazzarri gotta have the men ready for this game!
We should have gotten an extra striker this summer ....instead of having Grava, Uvini and El kaddouri whom haven't played 1 game in serie A this year......awful planning from managements part
