Benitez content with only two subs today. I've never understood the logic of refusing to make a third sub when you're looking for a game-winner.
Torres is finished. We should have sacked him, not RDM. Absolute joke of a player and now that Benitez is in charge the likelihood of a January replacement is looking dim.
FT. What a waste. That's two hours of my life I can't have back. Only two subs, No Marin (still), a lackluster performance, and scoring chances few and far in between. The only memorable thing about today was Azpilicueta's performance, who was MOTM for me by a country mile. He had some vital defensive interventions to deny Aguero in the first half in particular, and he was always available on the right side to aid OHM.
from the positive perspective we looked organised at the back and improved after a dire first half and Foy in his return to reffing us, thanks FA (I am sure that had nothing to do with Clattenburg) was actually not that bad
Welcome to Benitez's Chelsea. Why will no one run at opponents in the final third? 0% crossing success rate, but let's keep slinging them into Kompany!
Torres is not the only player on the pitch delivering sub-par performances. *No one* is clicking out there. That said, I won't argue with the suggestion that we need a better striker than him if Torres is determined to never reach another peak.
Well that's just stupid if our strategy was anything other than looking to win the game. What the hell else should we be trying to do, especially if we're about to go out of the Champions League, than going all out for the EPL title?
When I saw Drogba watching the match I cried a little inside... Now I am completely in the "Buy Falcao/Cavani/anyone" bandwagon. Only positive I can see from this one is that, hey, at least we got Azpilicueta! Good game by him.
Only five points behind the league leaders. It could have been worse, I suppose. Bring Drogba back on loan?
