good points. i too don't understand why they don't have more people shoveling, although it looks like it's getting there.

I can't F*&^king believe they let those fans make the trip out there in those conditions and are now considering cancelling. THAT is some bullshit.

Good decision. I do feel sorry for the fans but this had to happen. Matches have been played in snow before but like someone else said, after 15 minutes the pitch would be covered yet again.

Yep, They should had made this decision at 2pm.. They also didn't prepare well for the storm imo.

"We expected inclement weather, but not snowfall of the magnitude." Seriously has MLS just ignored the news for the past 2 days? Game should have been called at 2pm based on the weather and the conditions of the state.

I agree game should have been called early or not at all. Glad I didnt go.

Any idea what the stadium count was? Could have been the leagues worst attended game EVER.

On another note, NYRB fans, I'm sorry you guys didn't get a chance to do your 12th minute tribute to your fallen friend this evening. Unsurprisingly, we won't have numbers at RBA tomorrow; but I'm sure many of us will honor that minute from afar. And again, I'm sorry for the loss of your friend.

It was the right decision not to play tonight, but it should have been taken a couple of days ago, when they knew a new storm was hitting

To be fair, even earlier this morning the forecast was only for 2-3 inches of rain. They still should have called it earlier in the afternoon when it was obvious that it was more, but a few days ago it looked like it was going to just be windy and rainy.

Also to the DC fans, while I understand you're upset and it sucks you had to travel and miss out, let's not pretend like you've been on the high road all week...

And let's not pretend that NY and MLS league offices made any effort to handle this entire series in a fair and balanced way.

Not to mention that DG is from NY and that it shows very well in this occasion and that he's trying wildly to push for an additional NY team that nobody else wants nor needs

Wanna know why Red Bull ticket sales are going down the drain? Because of boneheaded decisions like playing a game during a noreaster.

NOREASTER. N-O-R-E-A-S-T-E-R. What about that is difficult to understand?

Oh yeah I forgot. They're all from f#cking Austria so they have no clue what a noreaster is.

This club is run by a bunch ass clowns. Jesus.

Backe is not part of the Red Bulls plans. The higher ups in Austria don't want anyone with good ideas involved with this club.

Dude you're getting pretty irrational and paranoid with the Austria shit, the decisions surrounding this game had NOTHING to do with the club... Everything was decided by MLS.

exactly if the coach thinks the game should be postponed I would see this as more of an MLS problem than a team problem. MLS wanted to keep the TV schedule in order, but forgot about its fans that are going to the game

    I am finally home.

I am beyond pissed at RB and MLS for this. They risked fan safety then canceled the game. The decision should have been made long ago, yesterday or earlier today. No excuse for this.

Wasted a day off from work and have to waste another tomorrow. Lose my OT from earlier this week cause I have to use a sick day. Waste of time, tolls, parking, and gas. Top it off my truck is broken now. What a shity two weeks it has been.

Most of the people out there shoveling were supporters.

I don't care for you DC guys, but I feel your pain. What a mess.
