I will gladly join in the Deschanel worship, but 2 things: Why does she have to sing in every role she gets? It's spelt ZOE. "Zooey" to me is a word that means "like a zoo". You know, full of dangerous stuff and smelly on a hot day.
well.. since i have been on the zooey bandwagon since 06 or so.. ill explain or attempt to... she did sing in elf.. i think she's pretty good... they are trying to bring more versatility to her roles? she's can only act one way. she's typecasted as the quirky girl and what not. her parents named her after the jd salinger story franny and zooey.. i wasn't her parents... that's right.. i'm in love.
