Include myself, on the 1 million stood with my brothers and sisters and volunteered for Vietnam. We who served banded together in combat, and worked together to fight for veterans' rights and benefits when we came home. Now we are organizing for a new cause -- taking back the White House. I am honored that everywhere I go, I am joined by fellow veterans. Together, we have come a long way since the beginning of my campaign. Today we are kicking off a mission to organize 1 million "Veterans for Kerry" nationwide. And we are launching operations with coordinators in all fifty states. From Maine to California, Veterans for Kerry will support those currently serving in the military, mobilize veterans, and give speeches on my behalf. Join Max Cleland, Fritz Hollings, my former crewmates, and others as our campaign demands better treatment for America's veterans and military families. Join Veterans for Kerry today by visiting: http://www.johnkerry.com/signup/veterans.php From grassroots activism to unprecedented fundraising, you have accomplished so much for this campaign. During this week, when we honor our America's military heroes, I ask all of you, not just veterans, to demonstrate the strength of our commitment by helping military families. Please make a contribution to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund -- a group that assists military families who have lost loved ones in Afghanistan, Iraq, and around the world. The fund helps these families with immediate needs such as buying food, providing schooling for children, helping families afford their homes, and flying parents to the funerals of their fallen sons and daughters. Re: Kerry volunteered for Vietnam duty Wait, wait, wait. John Kerry was in Vietnam? First I've heard of this.
I wonder if this is going to turn out like the Million Man March or the Million Mom March, where they got into six figures, but not much more.
The few. The proud. The Texas National Guard!" Be like Bush and join today! "Call me with a five year commitment in the next 48 hours, and I'll throw in a complementary trip to Alibama!"
What? Wow! You guys are just blowing me away today. First, this whole bit about Kerry going to Vietnam, and now you tell me that our CIC was in the National Guard? Next thing you know, you guys will be saying that Kerry got Purple Heart for a paper cut and Bush was AWOL. CBS Poll: Vets Favor Bush
Let me revise, 54% of veterans that answer CBS polls even though they are completely contridicting themselves are idiots.
I was at the last "Million" man march up in Harlem. I went up for 6 thousand some one owed me. That was just about how many black men marched up in Harlem that day 6000. ------------------ I think if it was something that benefited the Military they would have 10 million ex soldiers come out for that. But, soldiers for Kerry? They will be lucking to get 6 thousand. But, Don't worry you will get the liberals there alright. Most of whom were never soldiers so that turnout will be big, but it won't be soldiers.
So you're saying those 40% don't amount to much huh? I'd imagine that this percentage is much higher than it has been for Democrats in previous elections.
by cutting 910 million dollars from next year's budget the veterans got more support from President Clinton, the draft dodger
was starter by Bush lawyer in Texas, and money from the Bush headquarter, the true will come out once again another Liar will see at the end who the Vietnam veterans will vote for
I was thinking more along the lines of the "Most of whom were never soldiers" line while extolling the virtues of Bush, Cheney et al. Though I suppose you could argue that Lt. "Not Observed During This Period" was a soldier.
