Appears that Verbeek was angry at Gehbart for not following the tactical instructions of the game plan. He was playing selfishly, commuting errors, and no effort to be part of the defensive game.

His attitude and immaturity hasn't changed one it...

    Thanks for the info.

I'm not a Gebhart fan. I thought he was much better at 1860, but has since lost it.

Nilsson off with red card. Ridiculous call there, weak contact and Braunschweig's player went down way too easily.

Gebhart off, Petrak on for defensive reasons.

    EDIT: Crap...1-0 Braunschweig

Strong save by Schäfer on what should not have been a PK anyways. Hopefully that's what we need to spark us up again.

Verbeek really knows how to rally the troops. Quite a blitz of offence to start the 2nd half strong and put FCN back on top quickly.

Finally a favorable call for us.

Good long pass from Plattenhardt upfield and run by Petrak to make that possible.

Drmic with a nice dribble move into the box there.

2-1 finish. Gritty ending there, focusing more on maintaining the lead and defensive mode.

All important 3 points today. We've climbed further up the table to 12th spot atm with 23 points now.

Wonder why Drmic didn't take the kick?

One reason I can think of is that Kiyo is the usual set piece specialist and he scored earlier in the game. So at that time, they were banking on him to carry that form and convert on the pk.

Fortunately, we were already in the lead at that point. Drmic had another class game though, playing a part on both of the goals.

But hasn't Drmic taken the last two PK's?

    Drmic is the BOMB!

Kiyo is a real enigma isn't he? His form rises and dips wildly from game to game...

Willi Evseev: Next season's first signing

The midfielder will join 1. FC Nürnberg from VfL Wolfsburg on a three-year contract in the summer.

After Nürnberg confirmed the contract extension of Antonio Colak, another talented youngster has been signed for next season. Willi Evseev will join FCN from Wolfsburg after the 22-year-old midfielder agreed to a three-year deal, joining in the summer on a free transfer.

“The club have proven that young and talented players are key to the philosophy,“ explained chairman Martin Bader. “We are confident that Willi fits in and has the right character fort his club. He has shown that through his performances in Wolfsburg.”
