Ah, yuck. Looks like it will be Bojan at the CF position. No Henry, he should sit in the stands

Wow this is great news . At least Bojan had a good confidence building game today, if I was Pep I would play Bojan over Henry. Any news on Ini?

I'm not saying it wasn't a bad give away - I'm just pointing out that the defense is equally at fault. The fullbacks weren't upfield at all, as all 4 defenders were behind the ball plus Xavi ( who probably called for back pass and not a square pass from Sergi ) and Busquets himself got back too. And Walcott's shot was straight at Valdes so he also has to share the blame with the rest of the defense. It was a chain of bad mistakes by many players but with equal blame!

People tend to forget sometimes that even Barca players are human (although they appear to play like they are not :D) and make some mistakes. The way they play, they are bound to have some give aways which may result in a goal occasionally, especially from the young players. Sergi is a quality young player, lets not diminish his mostly good quality plays by solely blaming him for the goal. It's just not fair IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pep was playing mind games with Ibra's injury before the two most important matches of the season so far. And after seeing how Bojan did today, I'm feeling optimistic he is getting his confidence back and looks to be in games shape.

Wasn't Jeffren looking good also? What about him on the left wing vs Arsenal? If Pep had any "balls" he would send the "kids" to do the damage against a coach like Wenger. j/k

Pep doesn't seem like the type of coach to play mind games. He doesn't need them ;)

    LOL, that's good.

I wonder if Bojan, Messi, and Pedro would work as the front line.

Might work as a front line, but if you throw Iniesta and Xavi behind them as well, then we wouldn't meet have a single attacker who'd meet the height requirement to ride a serious roller coaster.

This would be brilliant if he thought he could really pull it off. It would be the "kids" against the "boys."

Okay, Ibra has scored a few goals recently and played great against Arsenal but let's not get too worried. We'd been playing just as well, if not better, when he didn't play for a while before his injury. Despite his excellent goals he gave the ball away a lot in the first half, well, compared to our other players. Personally I'd play Messi (obviously), Henry in the middle (for the first half at least), and Pedro on the left. With the right attitude we can win this even with important players out. Arsenal are an up and coming team and with the experience and depth that we have it should be fine.

Anyway, Messi is likely to put away his chances now that his one hundred and something minute goal drought is behind him.;)

An injured team against an injured team it is then. But usually when a big match comes and we're lining-up a "make-shift" starting eleven, we end doing pretty well. Like in Roma.

Now with two big advantages (the result of the first match and the fact that this one is played in Camp Nou) I feel pretty confident.

    Can't wait.

barca > arsenal, no doubt, but if you do fail to progress, will anyone be thinking of the zlatan curse? 11 times his clubs have faced english sides, 11 times they have not won. till last match he had never even scored a goal. but, somehow, barca did not end up winning a tie that they had in their pocket. if he makes it 12 out of 12 and barca are eliminated ( i pressume even if they do get eliminated they will still have dominated the match) , will any of you be wondering if it was a good idea to get this player? (btw, even if he injured, the curse should still hold true for the club he is currently at, if my knowledge of gypsy hermeticisim is anything to go by (which it isnt).

Zlatan curse? There is no such thing. If Inter failed to progress in the past, then, well, whatever. They've been big underachievers in CL the past years (not as big as RMadrid though) but I hope they make it to semis this year. Like Bayern.

Also: I don't think "Barca > Arsenal" just yet, we first have to play against them the whole battle, not just the first leg.

its a team sport, its inter that failed against english teams not zlatan. if barca beat arsenal you cant say cesc is a horrible player because he isnt arsenal.

messi hadnt scored against english teams for 11 games yet he got player of the year and managed to score vs manu.
ronaldo also hadnt scored against any spanish teams in 8 games.
doesnt mean ronaldo/messi are cursed lol. like ive always said, sometimes the ball just doesnt go in.

And if barca do get eliminated its no way ibras fault.. barca was up 2-0(zlatan scoring both) and he got subbed off and barca ended up drawing.

Arsenal are going to the Nou Camp ready for a battle.

i expect sol campbell to line up in defence, with Song back in midfield.

we'll need to get physical, have lady luck heavily on our side, and try and keep things level for as long as possible.

Its going to be extremely tough as Barca will have the added pressure, and delight, of playing in front of there wonderful home support.

i've no doubt of the traveling arsenal fans though aswell, they'll be in full voice on tuesday.

    god i cant wait!!!

    My lineup:

    -------------------Valdes----------------------

    Alves-------Yaya---------Milito-----------Abidal

    ---------Xavi------Busquets-------Keita--------

    Messi--------------------------------------Pedro

    ---------------------Henry----------------------

Anybody but Marquez on central defense! Iniesta and Ibra will be back for the Madrid game.

I'd start Bojan ahead of Henry personally.
