But he didn't play as a left winger.

didnt watch the game (yet) but from the past matches, he was a nominal attacking mid and the bald guy was the LW. he did spend a lot of time out on the left wing tho.

wondering if that's a result of coach's tactics or if he just has free rein to roam.

They played 4-1-4-1 and was instructed to roll left in his runs to create space.

it would be quite a feat to catch up to the 4th to last team on the table. The current gap between nurenburg (4th to last) and hoffeinheim (3rd to last) is huge. I'm pretty confident augsburg could finish in the playoff position as long as koo is healthy.

What is the length of Koo's loan spell at Augsburg again? Past this season? And if so, any info on what happens to Koo if Augsburg are relegated?

Loan ends this season. He'll just go back to Wolfsburg.

It would be news if Wolfsburg DIDN'T want him back for next season.

If Augsburg survives, then KJC and Augsburg should make a play to make the loan permanent. With Diego's return to form at Wolfsburg, it will be KJC's interest to stay if he wants consistent playing time.

with Magath gone they will want him to stay. given his form at Augsburg, Wolfsburg would be insane to sell unless he is in his contracts final year.

Koo is being played out of position at Augsburg too with Ji in the center. I don't see one CAM on good form as a big problem for Koo.

Two seasons of fighting for survival is enough for a player like KJC. Time to move on to better things.

Koo has been played "out of position" so often, he's good at almost every part of the attack. Koo has even been put on defensive duties as well. Talk about your all-round player.

Augsburg can't afford KJC's transfer fee.
