Shovkovskyi played against Beskitas, let in one goal at 66'.

I wonder if he will get a call up after this or not...

Hard to say. There was only one shot on goal.

Any word on a finalized roster and/or starting 11?

What about the injuries to the defence, will you get your two starters back?

Thanks in advance guys, here's to a good game!

Rybka should be UANT #1, and probably is if Blohkin released his depth chart

Since SaSho is the best Ukrainian keeper, Rybka should be on the bench. Remember, Rybka could not even make it into the top two at Dynamo.

Shovkovsky, the goalkeeper, has returned and had a great game for Dynamo at the weekend. No news on whether Blokhin will use him.

Chyhrynskyi and Mykhalyk, the two center backs are still out.

I like that we're going with Adidas. I can not stand all the watermark "вышиванка" sort of stuff on the chest.

Anymore news concerning a possible call-up for Roman Neustädter in the nearest future?

Today Ukrainian National team coach had addressed it (in Russian) in his interview. He said something to the effect that passport issues remain but other than that he would like to check out the kid. But for now, the kid has a German passport.

P.S. It seems the injury situation in Ukrainian National team is much much worse. Definitely out are Chyhrynskyi, Mykhalyk, Khacheridi, Voronin, Hai. Currently injured but could become available: Shovkovsky, Aliyev, Harmash. Most likely out: Shevchenko and Husev.

    6 definite starters are injured.

Thanx for the info. So it's just a passport issue.

Sheva & Voronin out for the Germany friendly?

Voronin is definitely out. Sheva is most likely out (jaw injury flared up)

    Pity.

Germany will be missing some players as well (i.e. Klose, Schweinsteiger, my BMG superstar Reus etc.).

Rybka is in much better form doing it against much better competition. Rybka has replaced pyatov, uant's former No 1, as sd's No. 1.

And I don't think it really matters that Rybka failed to break into the sklad with DK.

    Let's look at facts.
    1. Rybka did not replace Pyatov, the UNT's #1 goalkeeper. Pyatov was no longer the UNT #1 keeper in July 2011 (SaSho was). In fact, SaSho return the top UNT GK position during last winter and never lost it.
    2. Pyatov was injured at the beginning of the season, so he could not compete. Lucesku just made a logical step of staying with the hot keeper. Had Pyatov been healthy, Rybka would have remained on the bench.

Lahm is healthy, but it is my belief that Bayern requested a rest for the guy and the NT coaching staff agreed. He is an undisputable starter already so there is not much point of testing him out.

He is out definitely as well, for this match and for the Netherlands tilt, just to get a rest for the upcoming BL and CL games.

That makes 4 starters out for Germany by my count: Lahm, Klose, Schweinsteiger, and superstar GK Manuel Neuer. The Germany defence will be exposed.

But it looks like you guys have your own share of players missing.

With so many guys missing, this looks more like one of those "just go out there and have fun" type of matches. :D

I should add, Lahm and Schweinsteiger being out means that someone else will wear the Captain's armband for Germany.

My guess is either Podolski or Mertersacker (if he starts).

    Thanks for the info CanStriker.

BTW, I am guessing that Tymoschuk will have to wear the captain's armband for Ukraine if Shevchenko and Shovkoskyi don't play.
