Lol that we end up losing. We played great against an almost full strength Uruguay team. As shitty as it is we lost and looked stupid giving up the goals, at least the quality of our game was something resembling respectability. As dumb as Blokhin is at least he understood to let Voronin play in that free role, we played beautiful at times today.

Very worrisome that we haven't played our optimal first 11 at all in the last year or more. Couldn't have come up with a worse scenario than this leading up to Euro's. We are getting so little out of these friendlies, now we play Kalinichenko lol ridiculous!!!!

For those that want to watch the game again and don't know, it's on ESPN3.

I didn't get a chance to see the game, but the reports sound promising. Too bad we couldn't hang on. Could anyone tell me who our standout performers were? How did Butko do in his debut? Thanks

Yarmolenko, Voronin, Konoplyanka and Devic played well. Butko did pretty wel for his first game against such a tough opponent. Will be good to see him reproduce this performance again in a few days...

Butko was one of the stand-outs of the match. His performance surprised everyone, including Blokhin. Yarmolenko and Konoplyanka were also very decent, they linked up very well out there.

SaSho had an unfortunate gaffe on the first goal but, obviously, he wasn't the reason we had lost. Our central defenders are schmit, need to have Mykhalyk back. Devic was decent. Why Blokhin introduced Seleznyov is beyond me. Milevskyi is playing ok right now and should have been introduced instead of Buratino.

UNT is certainly making a step back, not forward in this match! It's 4-0! It is a defensive debacle!

Missing two absolute sitters, with an open net from a few yards out, by smashing them way over the bar doesn't help.
The Czechs could have been penalized at least twice though, one on a foul on Devic in the box and one on a blatant handball in the box on a cross from Butko

Lol...good scoreline to go with Blokhin becoming 0-for-4 with the team

Good to know it was a competitive 4-0 loss haha.

Good thing Austria set the record for worst host ever, because...... the bar needs to be low right now.

I think Blokhin will have clear most of the dead wood and hope his first choice players will be fit come June 2012...

How sad to have these U21 players be thrown in this mire!

As shitty as it is to keep losing and losing, I'm really not too worried cause we've played with a makeshift team. Sucks if we don't get healthy in time for Euro's but I imagine we will. If our key guys aren't injured we'll at least be formidable, not sure if we can play nice footy with little unity together and Blokhin as coach.

LOL!!!! He was definitely responsible for the 2nd, leaving his marker (although Dikan looked terrible coming out as well). 1st goal Milevsky got schooled. 3rd goal Kryvtsov messed up and Rakitsky didn't react well, plus Kucher was too stupid to look for the 1-2 pass lol. 4th goal was just pathetic all around, pretty sure you can chalk that one up to Blokhin's tactics.

We got scored on within 2 minutes of the 1st half and the 2nd half LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome video Footy, thanks. I'd feel better about that video if these 16 year old "next Shevchenko/next Messi's" were doing those moves against actual humans and maybe practising with someone NOT wearing hooker boots. Who's that 10 year old in the beginning? Is that a clip of some Spanish kid thrown in for good measure? Its all a moot point anyways. After the imminent disaster that is about to befall the UNT in the form of a 3 and out, no goals for, everyone in that country will be too embarassed to care about soccer.

If at first you don't succeed.....destroy all evidence that you tried.

    LOL!!!! funny stuff :)

You guys aren't seeing the big picture though. Sit down and write out all the names that are options for the NT and look to see which one's are actually playing these games. Kalinichenko is on the team and getting subbed in ffs!

Also futbol weekend had an interview with Roman Shuestedtner or however you spell his name on the last episode. The kid speaks perfect Russian and wants to play for Ukraine. If we're lucky Germany won't call him up soon and we are smart enough to invite him (with Blokhin and Surkis I'm not sure we are). They showed some clips of him, he's a stud, he looks REEAALLY good. Had a standout performance v. Bayern and already scored a goal this season. Looks like a technically smooth/physically strong box-to-box mid that we lack other than Stepanenko. He professed his desire to play for Ukraine but said he won't get a Ukrainian passport until he is assured that we want to call him up. Its up to our bozo's at FFU to make it happen now (should be a no brainer but we stoop lower than no brain so we'll see).

Good news on an embarrassing day for us (even U-21's loss their group opener), Chygrynsky played in Shakhtar's friendly today. Mykhailyk close to being back in action according to Semin. Prolly won't have them in time for next months friendlies, but hopefully they start getting first team footy starting in Oct. and STAY HEALTHY!!!! Also Stepanenko played in the Shakhtar friendly too. End of our dark days is around the corner.
