That's cause Russia doesn't care about that shit. When he played in Russia, he used his russian citizenship to avoid the foreigner limit. In Ukraine he uses his ukrainian passport. Neither of the governments give a shit. The Germans on the other hand who are not part of the third world countries such as Ukraine and Russia, actually enforce their citizenship laws.

    Isn't the issue with Ukraine?

    Germany allows dual citizenship

where a naturalized German citizen, or a child born to non-German parents (non-EU or Swiss) in Germany, request and obtain a permission to keep his foreign nationality.
where a German citizen acquires a foreign nationality with the permission of the German government (e.g. existing relative ties or property in Germany or in the other country or if the occupation abroad requires domestic citizenship for execution)

Ukrainian law currently does not recognise dual citizenship.[5] However there are citizens of Ukraine who hold dual citizenship.[6][7] Various estimates put the number of Ukrainians with more than one passport from 300,000 to a few million.[8] Within Ukrainian boundaries Ukrainian citizens who also hold multiple citizenships are considered to be solely Ukrainian citizens.[9]
“ If a citizen of Ukraine acquires citizenship (nationality) of another state or states, in legal relations with Ukraine, the person is recognized as a citizen of Ukraine only. If a foreigner acquires the citizenship of Ukraine, then in legal relations with Ukraine, hethwe person is recognized as a citizen of Ukraine only...

Yea Russia allows duel citizenship don't they? Its all on Ukraine. Russia could have an African or Brazilian playing for them in no time, just like Poland did. Poland got a Brazilian dude capped 5 months after coming to Poland in time for Euro '08.

Watched Neustadner play last Fri. v. Bayern Munich. He played pretty good and they smashed Bayern. He would give our central midfield much needed class. We are cluckers if we don't take him. No, actually we already are and have been cluckers for quite sometime

Jack Wilshere has another fracture in his ankle this week. Although he still might make the England squad for the tournament, he has played since June, and has now reinjured his ankle twice while rehabbing.

So England could be without Wilshere and Rooney for the first two games of the tournament, which would obviously bode well for Ukraine.

Big loss for England no doubt. Their a very well coached team though with enough quality to still hope to advance. Definitely a good chance for Ukraine if they stumble early, might mean Ukraine only need to draw in the final group game if they do enough leading up to it. Watch us still lose like Russia did to Belgium in '02 lol

SaSho stops 2 penalty kicks at the Marbella Cup, one against a Chinese club and one - against Rubin.

Ukrainian NT Roster for Israel friendly

Blokhin names Ukrainian National Team squad for Israel friendly:

Goalkeepers: Andriy Dykan (FC Spartak Moskva), Olexandr Shovkovskiy (FC Dynamo Kyiv).

Defenders: Bohdan Butko (FC Illychivets Mariupil), Olexandr Kucher (FC Shakhtar Donetsk), Vitaly Mandziuk (FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk), Taras Mikhalik (FC Dynamo Kyiv), Yaroslav Rakitskiy (FC Shakhtar Donetsk), Yevhen Selin (FC Vorskla Poltava), Yevhen Khacheridi (FC Dynamo Kyiv).

Midfielders: Olexandr Aliyev (FC Dynamo Kyiv), Denys Garmash (FC Dynamo Kyiv), Oleh Gusev (FC Dynamo Kyiv), Yevhen Konoplyanka (FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk), Serhiy Nazarenko (SC Tavriya Simferopol), Ruslan Rotan (FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk), Anatoliy Tymoshchuk (FC Bayern München), Andriy Yarmolenko (FC Dynamo Kyiv).

Forwards: Andriy Voronin (FC Dinamo Moskva), Marko Dević (FC Metalist Kharkiv), Artem Milevskiy (FC Dynamo Kyiv).

The only notable absentees are Sheva and Chyhrynskyi. On the other hand, a piece of good news - Mykhalyk is back. Hopefully, the clown (Kucher) is never on the pitch. It says a lot about our defensive corps that a player like Kucher is on the UNT roster.

Based on this roster, this is my start roster projection for the Euro:

    -------------------- SaSho --------------------
    Butko ---- Mykhalyk ---- Rakytskyi ---- Selin
    Husev ---- Tymoschuk ---- Konoplyanka ---- Yarmolenko
    -------- Voronin -------- Shevchenko --------

Note 1: I am making an assumption that Sheva is fit by the time Euro rolls around. If not - Milevskyi will start and Devic will come off the bench.

Note 2: It is sad we have only one RB. At least, at LB we can have Rakytskyi and Shevchuk. What about RB? Romanchuk rarely plays. Yarmash hasn't looked serviceable at the NT level since about 2008. Dopilka has regressed to a point that he can't even get on a UPL roster. I have no idea what condition Kobin is in. Mandzyuk can cover RB, I guess, but that is about it.

Note 3: I just thought that Rotan can play both CB and RB if needed.

Note 4: I think Euro roster will include 23 players. If so, I expect Koval or Pyatov to be added and two other players to be named later...

Darren Bent likely out for the Euro 2012 tournament with an ankle injury.

That means England could possibly be missing Bent and Wilshere for the tournament and Rooney for the first two games.

Ukraine's first victory over Israel. 3-2. Mykhalyk is back, he was decent. Defensive error led to a very unnecessary second goal by Israel. Nice combination on Ukraine's third that involved Konoplyanka, Aliev, and Yarmolenko.

Mandzyuk and Dikan almost came up with a third, that was a strange thing.
