Translate THAT! http://www.diez.hn/content/view/full/67591 Boniek Garcia's dream has become a reality. This Monday, Olimpia's president has confirmed that the footballer will play this season with the HOUSTON MOTHER********ING DYNAMO of the MLS!
Actually, Houston time He's never played outside of Honduras??? When is the Dynamo going to start recruiting in Venezuela (up and coming soccer nation) Columbus Crew picked up forward Renteria from CaracasFC a few years ago and he's still there.
Ortiz on Twitter: Jose de Jesus Ortiz @OrtizKicks Dynamo are as close as heck to signing Honduran Oscar Boniek Garcia to DP deal. Some paperwork still must be done, but real close.
...and more from Ortiz: Jose de Jesus Ortiz @OrtizKicks Chris Canetti on effort to sign Oscar Boniek Garcia to DP deal. "We're very, very engaged in an effort to finalize a transfer."
...continued: Jose de Jesus Ortiz @OrtizKicks Boniek Garcia deal has been close since the weekend, but there have been multiple "close" attempts that fell through in past year.
If my hopes are trashed, it will be the final straw. And I'll have to shoot the messanger. Sorry, Ponce. Someone has to pay
Wow...good news if it goes through. This could potentially be the best DP signing for us. 3rd time's the charm?
I'm willing to place a wager that we will finally sign OBG. The one thing is that I hope that if it is a DP move, we are doing it for cap reasons. I really don't want us to sign OBG and be done with all our moves. We still need at least one more player on our roster. The difference is that this time CC is actually making a ruckus over it. CC is also the guy that lied to my face a day before Landin showed up. I don't really trust CC, if he doesn't get mad at a mention and he actually acknowledges something, that means it's almost a done a deal if not completely done.
Canetti has to walk a tightrope when talking to fans. You have to admit that our accessibility to him is rare when you consider all other leagues and sports. He's strange, but I think he cares a great deal about the success of this team. It may be a stepping stone for him...but his heart is in it. Now lock this down, Canetti!!!!
Hey remember when a handful of us showed up to Robertson all giddy for the mid-day press conference for Landin? Cheering Dynamo and Landin. We're definitely scarred up a bit from that experience and Koke. I wonder if they'll do a similar press conference if Garcia is signed.
I fell for Landin cause of his Pachuca connection, but Koke didn't have me fully convinced. Landin, though, was freaking heart-breaking.
Same here because I remember what he was like when I first saw him (Pachuca's first match against the Dynamo at Roberston) and thought "Wow !!!" Unfortunately, he was a shadow of that when he arrived.
