This is our best start ever, yeah? Seattle and Toronto coming to town will be a good progress report but I'm expecting 6 pts on current form. Then away to DC before coming back home to NY. Let's keep it rolling...
I don't know if they are going to slump. They might slow down some, but this team is playing remarkably well for one undermanned the way they are.
Well...I don't expect them to go undefeated. I will be very interested to how they play in the heat as the was the Burn's strength when Oscar was playing. Make the other team chase you in the heat and wilt.
2013: S.J. missed out with 51 points. 2012: Columbus missed out with 52 points. 53 points should be pretty safe...
For FCD, perhaps it's about time to do up a similar chart as the one below for RSL... Yes, 13 points after 5 games should be the best start ever by PPG (13/5=2.6ppg). The next best start by PPG after 5 games should be in 2013, at (12/5=) 2.4ppg. In terms of the longest unbeaten start to a season, 2014 has matched the 2006 season at 5 games (3W-2T). However, if Shoot-outs were considered Ties, the 1999 team have in fact went 12 games undefeated (6W-6T) in regulation!!

Yes, but none of us will fall for that again. It does say that 45 points usually gets you in. So 32 to go.
We'll benefit from the World Cup break. Teams like Toronto, Seattle, KC will have their best players in the WC getting worn down for their return to MLS. FCD's guys will be enjoying a rejuvenative break to get up for the stretch drive to the playoffs.

What the hell did we do to piss off the league office? We'd better get our licks in now, guys, cuz at the EarthQuakes, at the Sounders, at Los Angeles and at RSL in back to back Wednesday-Saturday weekends is coming. Ew.
Interesting Article: "The EoS MLS Forecaster: Predicting The League … And Week 8 Fixtures" http://www.empireofsoccer.com/forecaster-predicting-fixtures-25164/ RSL to finish 1st at 84 points with 25W-0L-9T. FCD to finish 3rd at 77 points with 25W-7L-2T.
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see where we are at the end of May but glad we got all these points early on with our heavy home schedule.

From what I remember of the KC game Oscar is more than willing to ugly it up on the road for points. That should help keep from having a long losing streak like Hyndman teams always seemed to have (long winning and losing streaks). I did like how SH tried to out gooney the Quakes (and it worked) but we need big bad George back to try that again. LA and RSL are primed for ugly until 15 minutes left type games (unless we really have become the best team in the league).
Between the so-so performance @ KC and the nice 15 minute run out @ Houston, it'll be interesting to see how tonight goes.
Yeah... 'bout that.... Although it sure looked like a tie at least if not a stolen 3 points until Loyd's second yellow...
