The Revs should have a pretty decent (by Revs standards) size crowd this weekend. They were giving free extra tickets to this weekends games to STH's as part of appreciation night. Obviously they don't have such a huge STH base, but it should theoretically push a 12-14k crowd to at least 14-16?
Impact have been doing a "buy 3 get one free" deal on tickets for the past 2 weeks. Which suggests flagging sales. The deal, as well a other marketing activities seem to have worked. At least 18,500 tickets sold for Saturday's Saputo opener.

Any info on what type of commitment was needed to put a deposit? Edit: Found the site. Looks like a $50 deposit. Not sure if that's per seat or per account but it looks like they have received about $500k in commitment from fans. Very impressive!
The quote shows that 3,137 people have put down a deposit (which I understand allows you to purchase up to 8 seats off the one deposit) and have in total indicated a pledge of 9,092 seats, or a little under 3 seats per deposit.
Hell yeah, The amount of goodwill the BJ's have in hockey circles is incredible. They're everyone's second team these days.
Not strictly on topic, but Sacremento Republic are reporting a sell out of over 20K for their home opener tonight... quite impressive.
Usually after taking banners down and STILL seeing a traffic jam out of the parking lot, that usually means a good turnout.
Dollar beer and dollar brat night. Plus I think there was some crazy discount on tix on campus of OSU (Nordecke was like the "good ole days" in terms of capacity)
