This is the 8th game of the year and the 4th home game.

Portland defeated the Dynamo, 2-0, in the only meeting last year up in Oregon on April 6. The last time Portland played in Houston was a 0-0 draw in 2012.

They are 0-3-2 in their last five games overall with 6 goals scored and 10 allowed. They got 4 of those goals in one game against Seattle. Since then they’ve only scored 1 in two games. Portland’s next game after facing Houston is on Saturday, May 3 when they host DC United.

I love the Dynamo but my entertainment dollars are getting tapped out and my patience is wearing. I am ashamed to say I may give my tickets for Sundays game to some other fans.

I predict many overheated fans, sun burn, and poor parking.

You forgot about the inflated parking prices.

Portland may not be winning right now, but last few matches they have looked pretty damn good in the attack. I fear for this one.

Reminder: there are no Dynamo parking passes for the Astros' lots for this game. People are on their own to find cash parking. There will again be limited tailgating in the lot off Walker and Dowling to the south of the stadium. I know that's where the Texian Army tailgate will be among others.

The Astros' game starts at 1:10 pm that afternoon.

We have one more of these games this year. The Galaxy game on May 17 will also have limited parking.

I'm sorry to say... if Davis and Clark can't play and if Kinnear insists on Bruin and Barnes up top... Dynamo will lose.

Portland is struggling, but are not as clueless in the final third. I expect Horst to put in a good shift, but we will concede a goal at least. We need to be able to score goals. If we struggle to finish, than I hope there will be a change to address the problem of 319 minutes without a goal.

Don't forget that we haven't scored a normal goal from the run of play since the opening match. Our 3 goals since then were a fluke deflection off of Eric Miller's foot and two set pieces.

Good point. Alarm bells have to be blaring in the front office.

So we're up against a team that can't score goals, hasn't won a game, and is conceding them in droves?

5-0 loss for us. It's what makes sense...

Well I'd love to see Heft's proposed 4-3-3 lineup from the NY thread.

It sure as heck can't hurt.

Worst case? We lose 4-0 again. Emphasis on "again."

What lineup if Davis/Clark don't go? Carrasco, and Driver (again) and everything else the same, because when you only get 1 pt of 15 your starters remain unchanged?

As for formation, when everyone is healthy this team can move to 4-2-3-1 if they want to... Creavalle needs Rico so the 2 in front of the defense... in front Davis-Lopez/Barnes-Boniek and Sherrod up top.

They are also doing the play on pitch thing for certain STHs after the Dynamo game AND after the Guns 'n Hoses game AND you can't leave the stadium and re-enter. So you can sweat your butt off, sit thru a silly exhibition match and then get on the pitch for like 10-15 minute AND come back out to find the parking lots locked or your car towed!!!!

It might be rainy on Sunday afternoon. Storms are possible.

I'm doing that again. It was fun last time. So, will you be on my team, maybe? How will I know you? Let's come up with a secret handshake. Or maybe a code phrase.... "The parking lot is locked at 6."
