Well, FWIW Cerezo has Taka listed as a defender and there was early season talk of playing him at CB to fill in for Fujimoto.

Popovic wants to play both Forlan and Kakitani, i.e. 4-4-2. So only 2 CM spots available.

btw, it's been a while since I noticed but I waited a few more matches.
Now I can safely say that Yamashita really is playing like shit since a while.

Dunno not really, I was also surprised by some of his performances, but lately he's been literally one of Cerezo's worst players.

Yamashita every time I watched them play was great and on occasion man of the match. So it must be Dax watching the games or something

I will however say that their right flank and his partner in defense is often doing a crappy juob. Same as Hasegawa in the midflield letting him be exposed

I hoped Popovič would be sacked by now, but looks like we need to wait for a game or 3 for that to happen

Just take a look at the goals in almost all the recent games, he's always at fault for something. Not sure what happened

to be fair Kacar lost Hirayama on the first and was fouled by Takahashi on the second but Yamashita is a fake good player, looks strong but stays behind his striker all the time and has poor instincts.

oh, I didn't claim he was the major culprit on the goals against Tokyo or in general, it would be unfair.

first goal: unsure what he's doing. There is a Tokyo man besides him - which actually is moving poorly and gets marked by himself by another man but that's another story - but he doesn't seem to care, which would make you think he's moving to intercept the ball - except at the most important moment he decides it's good to get back and lets the pass slip. Then as you said Hirayama is lost by his marker. No clue what he was thinking tho

On the second goal I can't remember well as the highlights were cut, I actually didn't remember the foul you're talking about and thought he lost a man on the midfield so I won't dare to comment.
But more than the specific goals he's been very weak in general

Against Gamba I don't need to say anything I guess since you can see it for yourself - that's obviously a ball for the keeper, maybe he wanted to score in his net

against Kashiwa he is again running free towards the keeper (?) in the box and Tanaka says thanks, and in general he's been pretty weak in all the recent matches

Popovic may end up like Moyes if he don't buck up imo.

Maybe Moyes can come over and replace Popovic.

I came across an article which is suggesting that several Italian clubs are interested in signing Aria Jasuru Hasegawa. It's written in Italian through, but you can use Google translate:

    http://gianlucadimarzio.com/news/ari...no-delleuropa/

Btw I just started following Cerezo Osaka. I am watching Aria Jasuru closely since he is eligible to play for Iran or Japan.

No, it doesn't say what you think it says, sorry.
It says that Aria can sign for free with any european club which is a pretty stupid move in my opinion.
It doesn't say there is any interest whatsoever from him in Italy, infact that article exists exactly because someone asked to generate interest.

Oh I am sorry, I got it wrong. Do you guys think he is good enough to get picked by an European team?

    low-profile, absolutely.
But when you sign for free it's always a gamble, either you really show your talent fast or you'll risk to be considered a small investment which, even if it doesn't pay off, is no big deal (and you get benched or worse).

I agree. However I think he does great in J-Leauge if you look at his stats, he has been a regular starter for 2 clubs now, FC Tokyo and Cerezo Osaka. Anyway I would not mind him staying in Japan, they have a professional league with high quality football compared to other Asian (top) nations.
