Younis fell in love with him because he begged him to come back to the NT. A player with the age of Younis just can't sit and do nothing. He is analyzing games on Alkass with the Qatari's and postponing his decision about his future. Meanwhile he expects to start in every NT game. That is just ridiculous. Scoring two goals against China doesn't make you untouchable. We will have a serious attacking problem during the Asian cup since we are relying on an old, non training/game fit player.
And the worst thing of all is that Hakim is going to let him start no matter what.. Both Younis and Osama Rashid have to find a club to play with. I don't mind if both go to the Iraqi league, as long as they get play time.
Yes indeed.. In the China game, we played the last 20 min with 10 players because Younis was exhausted. Even then Hakeem didn't substitute him. I remember that even the commentator was wondering why he didn't sub off Younis.
Players without a club should never be called up. And another thing that I will never understand: Why is our coach always calling up the experienced players, even for the friendlies? You finally have the chance to test out new players, use the chance. I have the feeling that Salam Shaker is declining. Meanwhile, Ahmad Ibrahim is in very good form and has the edge over Salam. Karrar Jassim was average last time. Alaa Abdul Zahra and Mustafa Karim are both not very sharp anymore. We have to play friendlies and use them well. We already know what Younis is capable of. We need a regular goalscorer and a decent playmaker.
The consequences of many years of thieving and mismanagement in Iraqi football are now visible. Iraqi football has always been notorious in the region because of the constant production of talents. Well, i don't see that talent anymore. A lot of people are trying to prove the opposite by pointing at the achievements of the youth teams but what good is this if all those youth players can't make the step to the NT? Who is going to replace Nashat, Ahmed Abbas or Mehdi Kamil? Who is going to replace Younis, Amjad Radhi or Muhannad? Football in most of the countries is developing but in Iraq it goes the other way. It is depressing to see someone like Hakeem Shaker at the head of our Youth, Olympic and National team and the level of the current players representing us. Iraqi football legends like Amo Baba would turn in their grave if they saw our current situation.
We should participate in the Gulf Cup and send a B team. We need to play as much as we can. I heard that Uzbekistan and Egypt want to play us in August. If it's true, we have a decent preparation.
http://www.iraqfpg.com/Docs.ArabicViewer/3a1f4a05-5930-4fee-85db-1e9fcfa5fb9d/Default.aspx Forget about getting past Jordan or Japan. Our Asian Cup campaign is going to end up in the group stage.
The IFA continues to destroy Iraqi football without someone putting a stop to it. The NT is being neglected this way, just imagine what they are doing to youth teams (at the moment nothing because these teams don't even have coaches).
At least participate in the Gulf Cup for god's sake. Basically this means 0 matches until 2015. We are going to be humiliated against Jordan and maybe even the Challenge Cup winner
http://www.iraqfpg.com/Docs.ArabicViewer/669caec5-90dd-4e0c-9197-76588d3a5231/Default.aspx We are going to withdraw from the Nakhba Cup. Good decision. Now let's get back to the Syria's, Qatar's, and Jordan's for friendlies.
http://www.iraqfpg.com/Docs.ArabicViewer/79e4f42a-ecf4-4d85-836e-05ecb24ae4c2/Default.aspx Our friends in the FA can now commit fraud and fight each other freely. Even the AFC has given up on us and i can't blame them.
Jordan and co will all surpass us, while previously they were no match for us. So there are reports now about a Bahrain friendly, what happened in a period of one week. The IFA just said that they cancelled all possible friendlies due to lack of finances. Is playing against Bahrain that much cheaper than playing against Egypt? Are Jordan's resources so significantly greater than ours so that they can play Colombia?
Jordan already improved so much. Reaching the WCQ play-offs is very important. Not only because of the ticket that is at stake, but also because of experience. Uruguay wanted to play us but our amazing FA cancelled all the friendlies.
AFC set a deadline for 31 May and threatening that in case of failing to hold the elections before that date FIFA will ban us. http://www.iraqfpg.com/Docs.ArabicViewer/efe311cc-b083-458b-b861-4833c0eeb601/Default.aspx
http://www.iraqfpg.com/Docs.ArabicViewer/c813c09e-fd3c-444e-b412-9be7c25b5bec/Default.aspx This is unbelievable. This guy just doesn't give up. Nobody wants him in charge of Iraqi football and yet he is doing everything to stay in power and convince AFC/FIFA that the elections should be postponed. So we have to choose between this idiot and Mas3ood who now is a transformed man and talks like he was never part of the IFA. Great options.
http://www.iraqfpg.com/Docs.ArabicViewer/f002d4e5-08a9-48fa-83d0-92cbc07d4b81/Default.aspx Salman refusing Humoud's request to postpone the elections. He did not have to travel all the way to Bahrain to hear this.
4 teams are left in the Challenge Cup: Palestine, Afghanistan, Maldives and Philippines. One of them will face Japan, Jordan and Iraq in Group D
http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/asian-nt-friendly-matches-2014.1998438/page-7#post-30232805 Iraq preparations: Bahrain on 14-10. Wouldn't surprise me if the game got cancelled.
The FA elections are today. One of the members in the general assembly (from kaka choco's side) has been arrested by security sources upon arrival. God knows what is happening inside. And people clame that there is democracy in Iraq.
http://iraqsport.wordpress.com/2014/05/31/the-final-nail-in-the-coffin/ I love the way Masoud completely disapproves of the work of the FA while he has been one of the top figures in the IFA for the last 10 years. He will do everything in his power in the coming year to be re-elected.
