GOAL! United 1 West Ham 1 (Lletget)Visitors level after Elliot Lee lays off for Sebastian Lletget to smash home. #MUFC— Man United News (@ManUtdMEN) February 10, 2014 U21s. His 4th of the season.
Really needs to go on loan soon or come to MLS.. He's development is stagnant if he stays at West Ham
"@JoshDeaver: With 4 goals in 12 appearances, Lletget is now the second leading scorer for the West Ham reserves this season. #USMNT" pretty good for a guy usually in CM...
Actually, the goal against Man United was scored by Fanimo, not Lletget, per the West Ham play by play. http://www.whufc.com/articles/20140210/dev-squad-1-2-manchester-united-ft_2236884_3662641
Lletget started another reserve match yesterday: http://www.whufc.com/articles/20140224/reading-0-2-dev-squad-ft_2236884_3684872 And another 10 days ago against Southampton: http://www.whufc.com/articles/20140214/dev-squad-1-0-southampton-ft_2236884_3669702
With West Ham almost guaranteed safety, it's about time for them to give us the old Lletget wind-up again ... http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...k-lletget-has-big-chance-4017909#.U1ivvqAiUxo He did wear the armband for the final reserve game of the season.
Lletget is definitely in the starting XI for all the "All-Yank Abroad Young Player Very Close to First Team Breakthrough for the Past 2 Years" team. Although to be a little fair, I've read WHU fans that have seen him in reserve games question why he hasn't seen some 1st team time yet. I have zero faith in Big Sam that we'll see Lletget get on the field the remainder of the season. He has one year left on his contract and will be too old for the U21 league next season, so something just has to happen this summer. He has an EU passport, so that makes his options a bit more broad.
What if it's like Andrew W.K., where Lletget is one character played successfully by three or four near-identical actors over the years?
He turns 22 in less than 4 months, the age difference of like a year is negligible whether 22 or 23. I'll take what Harrison Shipp is doing even if he's 10 months older than Sebastian. He's too old for the U21 league next year (although I believe they're allowed 3 exceptions), so it should be time to be loaned or move elsewhere regardless. He definitely doesn't seem like a Big Sam type of CM either.
He has one year left on his deal, hopefully he can get a loan to a league one or lower level Championship side. If that doesn't work out then a move to MLS for the 2015 season seems likely.
Well then..CAP ALL FOUR OF THEM NOW! A midfield of Lletget--Lletget--Lletget--Lletget would be unstoppable.
Some of my West Ham supporting mates (some slipped through the cracks) have claimed Big Sam was retained because he was given conditions. One of those conditions being promote more youth players, along with others like play more progressive football and he doesn't have full say on transfers.
