That's cute. You've lost the right to arbiter the English language once your pop bands all started singing with an American accent.
Just saw a cool comment on youtube... Arsenal win the FA cup to end a 9 year drought, Liverpool win the Prem to end a 24 year drought, Real Madrid win the UCL to end a 9 year drought, Then they asked if this is the year football resets?
I like their thinking, but Real would end a 12 year CL drought, as they haven't won it since Zidane's days. Global warming be damned, this is the year to end the droughts.
It's physically in Arlington. I don't get the quote anyway, even if it said 'Virginia' instead of 'Maryland'.
Perhaps it's a typo. The reference is how differently Brits pronounce Aluminum Pentagon Maryland (like an amusement park -Mary Lund)
This is not so. Martinez is the same everywhere, with the exception of the z at the end, which in proper castilian would be a "th" sound. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martínez_(surname)
The ideal ending to the season involves the above, but with the possible substitute of anyone other than Chelsea winning the CL.
I'm cool with seeing Leicester and Burnely promoted. It's been what -- 10 or 11 years since the Foxes were in the top flight? Burnley was up in 09-10 or thereabouts. I could care less who comes up out of Hull, Reading, QPR, and Wigan. I'll root for Brighton & Hove Albion to get in from the outside! I do wonder if we'll see Leeds gain promotion from the Championship in the next couple of years here.
For the record there's also an accent over the 'i' in 'Martínez' in the case of Roberto, so it must be Marteenez.
I had no idea Bournemouth were so close as well. I always associated them with the lowest rungs. And My favorite rock band King Crimson
And cut down on travelling time too. Last season I got to see us play Fulham, Man Utd, QPR... without leaving London.
I can tell you honestly that Bigman is proud right now, as you're the very first person to break down a troll-post of his. Congratulations!
