Nothing new about Adam Jahn. We all kind of figured he would go to Sac. Do you know how he will serve the red card suspension he received? Will it be in MLS action or in USL? Just curious....

So does that means he can not play this week in USL either?

I don't see why he couldn't play. I expect he'll at least get some time in off the bench. Both Justin Braun and Mike Fucito missed the last game, presumably due to injury.

Given the lack of playing time by the two PT players who were called back, coming down to Sac and expecting to start is no sure thing. Although, depending of the length of his stay and how long it takes Braun to heal, he might.

Not sure. I know per FIFA rules at least in national team and in club play, he misses the next game in which he is eligible to play in. Not sure if USSF enforces suspensions across all tiers/divisions and/or leagues.

Quincy Amarikwa was sent off last week for two yellows and, although suspended for the Fire's next MLS match, was able to play last night for the Fire reserves against Charlotte.

Are reserve matches full fledged FIFA/USSF matches? I don't believe they are nor do I think they count for anything.

USL matches against MLS reserve squads count in USL league standings.

Are you looking for hope for Adam to be available in the next 'Quakes game, given injuries to their hold up forwards? It's time to concede that the USL game is not going to circumvent is MLS suspension.

Usually, in Europe anyway, suspensions are imposed across tiers/divisions , teams and seasons.
No I seriously don't believe Adam Jahn will do much either way when he returns to the Quakes , whether he is healthy , eligible or not.

The Bee reports that the loan deals for Fucito and Jahn have ended, so I'm removing them from the roster.

They've both been called back up to the Quakes because they're very short handed, but I don't know if that means they've "ended". The Quakes should have to send us another player or two in that case, wouldn't they? I'm still unclear as to the requirements of the affiliation deal. Seems like if an MLS team can loan a player to a USL side for just a couple of games and that fulfill the requirement, that doesn't seem like much of an affiliation deal.

Any idea if the earthquakes will be sending out anyone in return?

No idea. It's still unclear to me how the affiliation/loan system is supposed to work.

When this first came up and mandated by MLS, I was under the assumption that each MLS team was to loan at least 4 (or, at least 2 in the case of Portland and San Jose with Sacramento) players to their affiliate club, at all times. Now it seems as though a team can loan a player whenever they wish, or not at all. The Quakes had one loan to Sacramento, Mike Fucito, for the first few games. After he got injured and went back to San Jose, Adam Jahn was loaned over for a couple of games, and now he's been recalled because the Quakes are missing so many players. To my knowledge, they have not loaned another player for this week's game. So, it's as if an affiliate team can loan one guy over at a time, or none.

Is that the requirement? Technically, the Quakes have loaned us two players. They were each here individually for a few games, and now recalled. Does that fulfill the Quakes' affiliation requirements? Are they or are they not required to have someone loaned here at all times? And if not, ....wtf??

SRFC today tweeted that PT has loaned MF Steven Evans. His bio on PT's website...

    http://www.timbers.com/players/steven-evans

23 years-old, 2nd home grown player for PT, has not seen action with the senior club.

Of course, we seem to be deepest in the midfield.

Adding Evans and Knutsen. Fucito is still listed on the club's website, but I'm leaving him off until I see him in a SRFC uniform again.

The trialist who appeared in the second half of the Atlas game appears to be Jesus Padilla, native of San Jose, who spent several years in the Guadalajara organization. He was loaned to Chivas USA at one point and scored several goals over a two season span, there.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesús_Padilla

No information on his current status with SRFC.

I remember him. He attended Monroe Jr HS in San Jose, I believe. First played with Chivas in Guadalajara then was shifted to Chivas USA because he was born in San Jose and was not Mexican born.

So say we got an MLS team and a super rich owner with a transfer budget of $70m. Who'd you buy?

Just a point of clarification, Sac doesn't get a MLS team until they have a super rich owner.

But if we don't care about reality, Javier Hernandez.
