His winning score of 58 could have been more if Fernando Torres hadn't injured himself in the warm up before facing Spurs. Keysersoze Wanderers picked up there 3rd silver of the campaign with a score of 53. Captain JT and old man Eto'o helped with this as did Bradley Johnson's 3rd goal of the season for Norwich. Props must also go the Wanderers for getting 11 players onto the pitch. An achievement in itself in this gameweek. And to round off GW29 a bronze for Kopite Juniors. Powered by the forward tandem of Rooney and Eto'o. So all this means no one got any closer to our runaway leader and additionally, no one managed to make a move on the silver medal position. Young guns Sterling (is he on the pl... oh never mind) and Ramsey were big points getters but the daring choice of captaining the Pod Man (Podolski) came up trumps. He's either a mad Arsenal fan or he loves Game of Thrones, or a bit of both. I love GoT myself and I am not an anorak! Go Podrik! Silvers to both Weymouth and Awesenal. Weymouth went down the Sterling (c) route whereas Awesenal went with Eriksen as el capitan. I can tell Awesenal is the more discerning FPL manager here. A fine choice captaining the Dane from Spurs. Fine choice indeed. FC St.Pauli grabbed bronze with Eriksen again but ably helped by Seamus Coleman and Jedinak. I have to say the Eriksen-Coleman combo is simply inspired FPL play and he deserved so much more than bronze for showing such a high level of intelligence and tactical understanding of FPL and the football world in general. Some new names for a change getting the points mind you. Yellowcake takes gold for the first time this season with Mata (c) and James McCarthy grabbing the big points. Quite a shock isn't it? Mata getting big points. Yep, Mata. You know the guy I'm talking about. Chelsea player of the year last season. My 1st overall selection in this years draft (selection no.2 overall). We're almost talking Heismann trophy pick selection here and he bombs out for most of the year! . Top Shelf takes silver with the ever reliable Kompany (c) keeping company with Mr Reliable himself (Stevie G). And Sasha Jnr takes the last bronze of the season thanks to the efforts of Schurrle (wait, did he actually start any more games after I dropped him in wk28??), Bony and the Sess man. So FC Springfield swanned off with the Gold Medal overall after bursting out of the blocks early and building what proved to be an insurmountable lead.
