Compared to Atletico vs Chelsea (though admittedly that doesn`t say much).
Watching Buyern lose also makes it a decent game, no ? ;)

I don't think the ref called offside and from the slow-mo replay I saw , Ronaldo looked just onside.

You think the San Paolo is a state of the art stadium? You're kidding right.

Have you seen the prices at the Stadio delle Alpi and compared it to the Juventus stadium? The capacity of the latter is about 65% of the former so ticket demand is higher. Wouldn't Juve have known about this "bounce" and purposely kept the capacity lower? Besides what really contributes to the bottom line are the boxes which cost a fortune, not so much the nose bleeds.

Juve did create more debt but they've also positioned themselves better to service that debt. All the top clubs in the world own their stadiums while those that don't are struggling. If stadium ownership wasn't lucrative none of the top clubs would be owning them.

I don't care what happens in the 2nd leg as long as Bayern is out. Remember what Barcelona turned into after 3 years with Pep? Well he's trying to fast track that at Bayern by doing it all in one year.

So, do you guys want Real or Bayern to go through to the final?

In an ideal world neither but given as things are I don't want Bayern in the finals.

I wanted us in the final but since this is not going to happen I'll settle for the next best thing.

Both scenarios have its merits, if Bayern wins, they'll be partly distracted while playing us in the German Cup which might increase our chances to win a trophy this year.

And if you win, well we could get some delicious revenge for last year against them... .

Slow down and read. You mentioned Emirates and Sao Paolo.

I will leave it up to you and the educational system that created you to determine which I meant was a third world country and the other state of the art.:cool:

Isn't revenge when YOU beat them?

It's not revenge if my best friend beats up the bully who beat me up. ;)

So Adnan Januzaj has declared he will represent Belgium internationally. Doubt he'll make the WC squad this year though.

The drink vending situation inside the AA is significantly better than the Oly that's for sure. Last match I went to was the Bavarian derby vs Nuernberg and it took me a whole 5 minutes during half time to go from my seat to purchasing a couple beers to back to my seat. Lines at the Oly were absolutely insane. Hell sometimes you'd miss the start of the second half if you waited in line for a beer.

That's what I meant to say. Winning against Bayern would be more meaningful if they were eliminated against Real, because otherwise they could just pretend as if the German doesn't really matter.

I could live with either result though, and then there is the small obstacle of actually beating Bayern in Berlin of course.

I'd pick him over Chadli(limited player) and maybe even Defour. Let's see what the coach decides in the end. Even if he goes to the WC, he won't get many minutes but it would be a good experience for him. He's yet to play for Belgium in an official match so they need to cap-tie him quickly because he could change his mind. This is the main reason why they should take him ( thinking long term).

You have to know why. ;)

The guy who ran the Oly was a notorious Sechzig fan and would always understaff the beer lines on the Bayern side of the pitch, as well as behind the fan curve. This was well known by the locals and they would go to the visitor side and get beer there. ;) It only lasted for 3-4 seasons until the Bayern fan block complained and it got fixed, but it was pretty damn funny for a while. ;)

Makes sense. I usually did have more luck on the other side. LOL

I have to say the guy who runs that grill outside the U-bahn station has some pretty decent Thuringerwurst.

You wouldn't say that if you knew what some Sechzig fans do to Bayern fans' food.
