so Pohang can't meet Jeonbuk? Hmm I wonder how the rest of the draw will change then...I think Sanfrecce and Kawasaki had decent draws, I hope Cerezo is moved

How you guys felt Ogihara performed? You think him with Hasegawa and Yamaguchi today can work well to be a regular midfield rather than only on rare occasions?

Requoting myself as I think that the country rule applies only if there are just 2 teams from one country, in the quarter final. So Pohang will play Jeonbuk.

Yeah i meant the country rule applied in the quarter final not in the round of 16

    I will say

    Kakitani >>>> Popovič

Also Sanfrecce messed up so many chances, I am so glad that didnt cost them. Deservingly in top 16. As I said I expect 2 or 3 teams from J-League there so lets say this is all as planned but perhaps even better. Now I expect at least one to make it to top 8 normal would be 2. Amazing would be all 3. And not even one would be a fail. :D

Shiotani for the president btw ;)

So Kim Jin-Hyeon headed to the hospital after the match for examination. BTW does the J-League have a concussion protocol?

Chinese fans from what I have seen regard Cerezo as a even weaker team than Marinos.

Jaber Al Marri is blacklisted as well, but he's certainly not the worst one in this year's AFC. There are also 1 Japanese, 1 Korean, 1 Australian and 1 Chinese referee who are being watched closely, and the evidence for them being rotten are much clearer than in Al Marri's case. I'm not gonna mention names, but anyone who have followed ACL this season will see it pretty clearly.

LAst year was even worse though, and a certain Iranian referee who should be familiar even on this board have practically been banned by AFC and havent referee'd any matches since October last year.

Looked pretty clear to me, and watching the replays just strengthens my opinion. And I'm a Cerezo-fan. It's a stupid and reckless tackle, whether he's first on the ball or not. And to me it seems he hits Aloisi first.

Unsure, I saw it just with the live replay, and it didn't look that evident. Stupid, yes, Yamashita has been extremely stupid since a while, hope he went to see Kim in the hospital lol

I was speaking of a specific incident in which a Korean player used racist epithets towards Japanese; and then defended his statement claiming there was a Rising Sun Flag (when there was none)... followed by the News photoshopping a Rising Sun Flag into the match in order to cover up his sorry excuse.

No one photoshopped the flag in as far as I am aware. The Korean media did say that there was no rising sun flag in the stadium, they just tried to keep the whole incident low profile.

It was actually Asahi that did the photoshopping -- though on further review, they didn't photoshop. They just took footage of a different match and attempted to pass it off as that match.

I'm not aware of what Korean tv did or didn't do; but it's certainly not beyond them to photoshop other events when it fits their ingrained-from-childhood hate for Japan.

Kim Jin Hyeon is really bad with the free kick for 3rd goal, don't understand why he started.

If it was a GK like Cech, he would have predicted the free kick correctly.
