    Anybody here rate the Vapor VII's? Just wore my Vapor IV's out of nostalgia and I want a boot that fits similar. I love my vapor IX's in terms of fit, but the lack of studs is a killer. Need AG I think..

    in my opinion, vapors v to vii are the worst vapors ever made, they are by no way similar to vapor iv, believe me.
    also, vapor vii does not have lace cover while vapor iv has. in terms of size, i wore us9 in iv and us9 in vii.
    but definitely you will not get the same fit.

    ^^^ definitely agree the v-vii were the most disappointing vapors and they were what ultimately brought me back to wearing adidas. The IV were good boots but the IV sl still my fav boot of all time. I haven't found anything that could compare to them to date.

    I agree on the possibility of OP's intent. I think kinesiotaping has a positive result when used correctly. As you know from my stance on barefoot training, I am all about proprioceptive function and improvement. I'd still argue that taping - say an ankle - does little if anything in terms of support or stability once the tape loses it's elasticity, at least in a high demand athletic contest. For a sedentary person, it is an effective alternative to casting or splinting.

    I get the concept Nike is trying to push and I advocate getting the best fit possible even if means "socking up". I just struggle with the hyperbole at times. Maybe I am old school, but nothing feels like more of an extension of my foot than k-leather that is broken in well over time. That is what I grew up on though, while most of today's players grew up wearing plastic bags on their feet.

    Thanks for the responses guys! Yeah will avoid them then. Might see if I can get the WC10 Vapor IX's in AG! Or just wait until the new vapors with proper plate of studs come out!

    I'm surprised no one has brought up the fact that the Vapor X is launching tomorrow.

    The Vapor VII definitely isn't as bad as some people say. The fit (length wise at least) was a lot better than the Vapor IX/VIII. The Vapor IX/VIII have a much better upper though.

    I thought the fit on the 8 & 9 were perfect. They fit my foot perfect at least, but I have skinnier feet. Similar to how the Vapor II fit me well, but the IV, V and VI fit too wide
