Perea sucks and Please Pekerman NO MORE !!!!! I know our strikers are god like but having Perea, Yepes and Mosquera helping the other team by giving them a free goal is getting annoying

I don't know man... I kind of like the challenge of playing with a crappy defense, but thanks for the recommendation though. Now that you mention that, i will deff take it into serious consideration

Whaddaya know 3rd goal from LAP in the mexican league...lol

Still think Zapata should replace him for the Argentina/Peru games...I know Pekerman has said that he doesn't change a player just for one or a couple of good games with his team, but now Zapata has been playing well for months and it is time.

Both? Venezuela only scored one goal....and yes you could say another defender might've done better...still he saved us from a second goal on the line in the 2nd half.

Ahhh now I know what you mean, yes it was his fault vs Venezuela in Barranquilla too. However his teatrics against chile provoked the redcard that helped us win that game...

Just an update... ....Perea looked pretty bad against Kansas City in the CONCACAF champions League.

But does this really surprise anyone? :p

I think that Pekerman will eventually go with Valdez and Yepes. Valdez to me is our best CB in our squad at the moment while Yepes have tons of experience which is required in the World Cup. I think that Perea and Aquivaldo should battle for a spot and I would add Balanta in any case.

Zapata - Valdez much better pair(27+28)

Plenty of experience. Perea just doesn't have the speed any more and never had the brains. Yepes body is done for NT football and can't play a bunch of games back to back. Maybe fine against Greece but will get us raped against Japan, Ivory Coast and all the knock out teams

But Valdez also played vs. Holland and I think that more then Zapata during the qualifiers. For me they have an equal chance as long as it's not going to be Perea, but I do prefer Valdez a bit more. But at the end Pekerman will have to decide between the players that will be in the best form in June.

Perea was taken off the field on a cart at around the 32nd minute of tonight's CONCACAF Champions League match against Tijuana.

I don't know the extent of the injury but he did not look too happy.

Well if he's able to show an expression, it can't be that bad. I am sure he just wants to play.

Well, it might not be that serious...
... but it could be. Seems strange to be taken off that early in such an important match. He has been playing relatively well the last few matches and I think he would have shaken it off if it was not serious.

He recently became a continental Champion, give the man some praise.

This will be his 5 Continental Title, and has 1 International title on his name, along with 2 Domestic title (Argentina and Mexico Respectively)
