22' 1-0 Seattle cutesy triangle passing just inside Washington's box top: Goebel at arc left squares, Kawasumi dummies over ball, Leroux at 15m arc right stops ball facing away, backpasses. Seattle send ball in again, Washington intercepts. Somebody face the goal and shoot!

24' 1-0 RB #7 Reed two right throw-ins at 24m. Washington hoofs the 2nd one over midfield, beyond their shell. Washington is suffering under Seattle's confident high press, can't thread through midfield.

28' 1-0 Washington thread their way across midfield, up centerline. They've oddly found a formation that neutralizes Dunn. Dunn is RM playing at the upper right of the tree-ish shape, and she can't get the ball (and they can't get it wide to her). She looks a tad frustrated.

30' 1-0 Seattle somehow have an advantage in "smaller radius of clang", which is killing every Washington probe. Washington pass toward Dunn, clang and Fishlock backpasses. Their bodies are telling them "it's 22:30, let me sleep"

34' 1-0 Seattle right corner, short to Fishlock, back to Little at 19m mid-right. Cross to 13m slightly left is poor, the entire WAS defense is there -- Nairn heads it out. Seattle shoots long, wide left.

35' 1-0 Benefit of 2014 YouTube streaming: Fishlock's brother Gareth(?) is watching live from Wales

38' 1-0 Washington not sharp: backline pass to each other, simple switch left to Gayle and she clangs it waaaay back down her own box left. Gayle lumbers in pursuit, chased by Kawasumi (imagine Timon chasing Pumbaa) ... backpass under duress, Harris shanks it into touch.

42' 1-0 Seattle long ground pass from backline to circle top left touch, one-touch ping hits a runner in stride. Little outwrestles Nairn or Averbuch at 25m mid-left, surges to box top, rolls a delicate pass to Leroux lurking just onside at 14m mid-left. Leroux drives hard to 8m 6-left, the RCS (right center seagull) squawks and takes off from inside(?) the field. Leroux shoots across the mouth, beats Harris, just wide right. The seagull cries: sub one!

45' 1-0 Seattle right corner, Kawasumi short to Fishlock, back to Little at 22m mid-right. Little drives hard to box top right, turns into box to 14m. Cross floats toward 5m 6-left, just over two heads at 6-top. Leroux stops ball at 4m mid-left facing back right, utterly shanks a shot that bounces weakly back to 8m 1/3 left. Goebel stops ball facing away, swarmed 1-v-2 and Washington clear. +1'.

Reign are pretty much non existent in the final third as this game is being played in the center circle. Right now, the team is playing too narrow and are not making use of the wide players. It is known that Krieger will shut down the right side but Naho is not during much on the opposite end.
Finally, I'll like to see the play go through Little a bit more.

Tonight's anemia goes deeper than one player. Washington's whole team is a step slow and imprecise in their ball-receive, so they get closed down, can't get separation, and clang passes away to Reign defenders right on their back, who pounce and motor away.

Maybe the rest of the eval must wait until Seattle flies cross-country midweek and we see how sharp they are. Washington sure isn't setting the bar high, tho.

49' 2-0 Seattle left corner, Kawasumi sends it fast to 3m right post. #11(c) Keelin Winters somehow back-cuts the entire scrum, stoops on the run and drills a header rocket into upper back right, falls into goal.

50' 2-0 Washington urgently into Seattle's box, cleared. Seattle longballs up right touch, sends Goebel 1-v-1 to endline ... loses ball over.

52' 2-0 Averbuch(?) sprays a long diagonal pass to Krieger overlapping to box top right touch. Cross to near post, Solo plucks it off Dunn's forehead. Dunn and Adams have flipped, so Dunn is now CM and Adams is RM.

53' 2-0 Seattle shoots from 25m right post, Harris dives left and pushes it wide, gathers it.

56' 2-0 #17 Goebel dribbles just past midfield circle left, Averbuch tangles her up and spins her down -- to stop a breakaway? Yellow card on Averbuch.

56' 2-0 Fishlock digs a ball out at 6m wide left, squares into box for Leroux. Washington pokes ball away, Little pounces through box top mid-left but Washington scramble ball clear.

58' 2-0 Krieger roams up box right to circle top, tries a pass to box top center, intercepted. Seattle send Kawasumi running up circle right to 35m, she tries a diagonal pass to arc left -- and Krieger, coming back and pinching way inward, intercepts that.

59' 2-0 Kawasumi(?) dribbles at 25m arc right to centerline, rolls a soft through ball to Leroux at 12m 6-left, behind the defense. Leroux comes centerward, drives ball under Harris into 1/3 left back low. Offside on Leroux.

61' 2-0 Leroux receives at box top left, cuts centerward to 18m mid-left. Hard curling shot micro-deflects off her defender, wrong-foots Harris, who sprawls (her) left and blocks ball down and out to the spot, where Washington clear.

61' 2-0 Adams crosses from box right to goalline center. Solo dinks ball straight up, recovers footing and catches it before she highlight-reels herself.

    63' 2-0 Washington subs in:
    - (1 of 3) #6 Lori Lindsey for #19 Crystal Dunn
    - (2 of 3) #17 Veronica Perez for #99 Danesha Adams.

Rapinoe had a minor foot issue, should be good for Sunday 04/27 vs. Houston.

66' 2-0 Lindsey at box arc top, threads a pass to 15m center for Matheson cutting left-to-right. Matheson stumbles past her marker, chases to 7m 1/3 right -- Solo blocks shot, Seattle clears.

67' 2-0 Averbuch shoots from ~22m mid-left, wide right low but close enough that Solo dived for it. Washington perking up ...

71' 2-0 RB #7 Reed backpass to Solo, who -- clangs it as #14 Taylor arrives through box top left. Solo tries to dribble past Taylor, who pokes ball away toward endline. Solo recovers, clears ball toward (her) right touch.

72' 2-0 Washington to 15m box left -- cross hits a hand! Penalty

73' 2-1 Washington pk, Matheson right instep into back left low, Solo hopped wrong and spent the rest of the time clapping her annoyance.

That penalty kick goal by Matheson was a disaster for my fantasy team. Had Solo, Reed and Cox on my defense. Lost tons of points.

74' 2-1 Washington subs in (3 of 3) #9 Renae Cuellar for #14 Jodie Taylor (tip of tree).

75' 2-1 Seattle fk at 24m right touch, driven low and fast to 6-top right. Fishlock sends a grasstop volley high over bar, faceplants.

Lindsey actually passes it to Spirit players instead of just passing it to other women

78' 2-1 Winters wins a header at circle top, turns and surges to 25m centerline. Tap pass to Little, who tries right instep softly to Kawasumi wide-open at 15m wide right -- but too delicate, and Gayle intercepts.

80' 3-1 Seattle roam to box top right, into box to Goebel facing away and backshielding 1. Goebel backpass to Little at 20m wide right, who squares to Fishlock at 20m just inside box right. Fishlock one-touches ball boxward into her wheelhouse, steps forth and blasts a long shot across the mouth -- under Harris's dive and into the left side bottom pipe.

82' 3-1 Seattle subs in (1 of 3) #4 Kate Deines for #2 Sydney Leroux.

84' 3-1 Fishlock to box top arc right, passes wide to Kawasumi. She looks up, sees Goebel 1-v-4, dribbles in through box right herself. To 12m mid-right, left-foot shot sails high and wide left.

84' 3-1 Washington bad turnover to Little at 27m arc left, between the CBs. She drives to box top, jukes left and shoots just wide left.

87' 3-1 Fishlock down at 27m mid-left as play continues at midfield box right. She gets up gingerly. Alli Reed dribbles fast up box right to the 35-yard-line, Matheson tackles her from behind. Yellow card on Matheson. Dallstream is up for a 2nd sub?

89' 3-1 Gayle clobbers Kawasumi into the far sideboards at circle top right touch. Verbal warning, no card.
