Also, Milan's revenues are starting to suffer. Even if Lim bought them and ran the club to it's maximum level , he couldn't sugar daddy them to the the level of Chelsea and still be FFP compliant.
well I didnt mean that was the only thing they needed to do what I meant that if someone comes and invests in Serie A builds a new stadium and everything else that goes into it. Key note signing should be made to sway interest to the team and the league. In my opinion teams are businesses even though they are bad they still follow the same path as every business evolve or die. Salary caps need to be put in place but I doubt that can happen in Europe with the very different tax structures there are.

And tell me... Once we're the most financially stable club , who's gonna hand us a CL for free? On the Milan topic. I think for them to sell Milan is just stupid , Milan is the most , if not one of the most, famous clubs in the world , the Milan brand is worth 3 times what the other ones in Italy are , and the club is already worth 500-750 m , with a brand new stadium and a started up brand , it could very well be worth double.
I read that in an effort to save the club, they sold out their clash with Latina setting a Serie B record. On another note, I'm happy Latina is in second place and in pole position for the Serie A without having to face a playoff. Would be cool to see a town discovered only 80 years ago in the top flight.
With a lot of foreign investors looking to get into Serie A, you would think someone would be interested. I guess the city of Bari isn't all that attractive to potential buyers though....
Yeah maybe with their own Mafia, I forget the name. Huge stadium, big population, and I would think the capability for a decent youth system. I doubt Cassano can even step foot there anymore! Bellomo was supposed to be good too but he's no fantantonio.
Sacra Corona Unita doesn't care about investing in soccer. I think the 'Nrangheta might . I know Giuseppe Sculli was born in Locri and his nonno was Giuseppe Morabito ('u tiradrittu/"shootstraight") a notorious boss. Generally though the mafiosi don't' like to be in the public eye...
The San Nicola is in ruins It's strange though , Bari has the third Ultras group after Napoli and Roma , you'd think they deserve better.
San Nicola was built for the 1990 WC because the president of FIGC was from Bari. His brother was president of the club if I recall and he probably held some position with Bari at some time. His name escapes me right now. As far as calcio history, Bari has very little.
Yeah but they used to be in the Serie A for a long time. also , Bari has a decent amount of people and their supporters are a lot , even for a Serie B club , it could be turned into a bigger Atalanta. EDIT: Bari is the 9th italian town by population.
The Matarrese family own the club and Antonio was the former FIGC president. They had him as the inside man for many years that helped the club, especially with the construction of San Nicola. Otherwise, I doubt Bari would have been an obvious choice as a WC venue.
It is indeed true without a doubt , and it's also pretty apparent that the San Nicola is just a huge White Elephant , but still , it could be put to good use. Bari has the potential to be home to a decent club , i'm sure of it.
Yeah they dried out the swamp lands and a lot of Northerners moved into the city and surrounding areas. I think singer Tiziano Ferro's family came from Udine for example and settled there. Same thing happened in Fucino in the Marsica region of Abruzzo..... "O Torlonia asciuga il Fucino, o il Fucino asciuga Torlonia"
dont really know why he had northerners move down south for I know he moved alot of italians up north to reduce the amount of German speakers in Italian territories....hmmm Perhaps he did it to better standardize the italian language...
