Why Cancun and not Miami where alot of Argentines live? That's weird.

The Superclasico in Mexico has been moved from Cancun to the Azteca.

Pretty cool. Historic stadium. Much better to have it held there than in Atlante's stadium, with all due respect.

Plus, I'm sure more people would show up to this game in DF than in Cancun.

Apparently a high demand in tickets sales warranted a move towards a bigger stadium. I wish I could go see them but this game is scheduled for May 31. That's too close to finals for me.

LOL a half-assed game, we were without pretty much our whole team and our coaching staff and they still couldn't beat us, and it looks like Bianchi's team has gotten so bad they can't even win shoot-outs any more, the one thing you'd never have thought to see.

The Boca fans had fun with Ramon resigning, but I think all us River fans will have quite a bit more fun now that the senile Bianchi DIDNT resign.

    Grande River.

Right!?!?! this is what I've been saying. What caraduras they are, one wins a championship and finds it in the teams best interest for him to resign. The other hasnt even been competive in a full tournament, and will never resign because of that salary.

It is good to see Rojas is not in the team and Driussi gets the chance with Mora! I miss Cracknevitter.

Who would have ever guessed that el Muñeco would have Ferreyra higher in the pecking order than Ramon

Though I'm not too worried, this is a friendly, and although its the team Gallardo has been working with in most training sessions, we have three competitions this semester and everyone is going to get to play (mainly thinking about Solari and Kranevitter who deserve a chance)

    1) Yes. 2) No.

Seriously a cure for insomnia. Don't be fooled by the scoreline, it was an absolute borefest.

Aside from the rumored invitation to play the biennial Audi Cup with Bayern and 2 other European giants in June of next year, River could be facing other European competition in just a few months..

Various sources are saying River will participate in the Turkish Airline Cup in January, alongside Shalke 04, Besiktas, and Fenerbahce. 120,000 euros will be awarded for our participation, and the first game will take place in the coastal city of Antalya, Turkey on Jan. 15th vs. Besiktas.

It is worth stating that there is no official confirmation yet from the club, but it is being said that River will participate but with an alternative team since we will be playing Boca (three times), Velez, and Estudiantes that same month.

    Summer friendlies schedule:

    Jan. 12th: v. Universitario (PER)
    Jan. 14th: v. Nacional/Penarol (URU)
    Jan. 18th: v. Estudiantes
Jan. 24th: v. Boca in Mar del Plata
    Jan. 27th: v. Independiente
Jan. 30th: v. Boca in Mendoza

    *Montevideo Tournament
*Copa Oro de Mar del Plata
    *Copa Luis Nofal

There is still the very likely possibility of adding one more superclasico (Cordoba?) for the "BBVA Cup". No word on date or location yet.

Not quite sure what's going on with the Turkish Airlines Cup or if it's even going to happen after all..

New year, and Boye still can't finish his lunch. Cavenaghi looks good though. Kaprof has been interesting

Today also proved just how badly we need Tagliafico. Urribarri was pathetic. Ferreyra was worse. I thought they were going to rescind his contract, yet there he is still playing, and unless the directors make moves he's Rojas' back up
