martinez would be my first choice, but i doubt he'd leave everton particularly if they make CL this year, so that being said, pochettino would be my next choice, i like his style of play at southampton

Martinez would be magnificent but he is going no where for a while.

I guess it's true that some people will bet on anything, but what does this stuff actually tell us? Are bookmakers privy to some kind of inside info that the rest of us aren't? Don't the odds just reflect who the bettors are betting on (adjusted so that bookmakers expect to come out ahead)? I did see on facebook yesterday that Howard Webb is listed at 500/1 to be next Man U manager. :D

Pochettino would have the team play attractive football, but his defensive tactics seem suspect based on Southampton's performances this year. Then again, one could've said the same about Martinez with Wigan last year, and Everton's defensive record has been impressive this season (though one could easily attribute this to Moyes).

Honestly don't think Moyes is a bad manager at all, in fact I think he is an excellent manager. I think he got a broken ship and no one gave him the time to fix it. Plus they ridiculed and questioned every single move he made from day one. I don't think there was ever a manager with so many people marking every breath he took like Moyes was at United. On top of that he never got the funds to make the big signings United clearly needed to fix their unbalanced squad. Mata came too late, and as we all know, january signings don't always pan out the same season.

now, do i want moyes at spurs? not ideally, but i wouldn't cry a river if we hired him either.

What about Jurgen Klopp or the manager who is currently at Ajax? They were linked with us in the past and I wouldn't mind either of those at all.

No chance of Klopp. He has a great team at his disposal, can't see him leaving. As for Frank de Boer, he has his eyes only on the Barca job, which could be available soon.

It looks like there will be another Levy stopgap manager after Sherwood. I'm personally sick of these 1-2 year coaches. I would very much prefer that Levy signs an offensive mastermind and have Ledley King become defacto manager in training. It would be my dream for King to become the next coach but I think he needs some experience first. Then in a couple years hand over the reigns and let him become our manager for 15 years or so with multiple title runs. Seriously think King has the potential to be an excellent manager. What do y'all think?

King certainly has the potential to be a great defensive coach. What made him amazing was his mind, not his body. I would love to see him sitting next to our manager on match day.

Now, why do you think Levy will get another stopgap manager? I haven't heard anything to say this is what he wants to do... Sounds like the favorite is still Pochettino...

If it's Pochettino, I hope it will give us a 1st option to sign Luke Shaw.

I say we need to get someone in who can work with Baldini. If that can happen then I think things internally will be good which means the manager can then focus more attention toward on field matters. Too much politically stuff goes on with this continental system we have in place so why fight it and why not just comply with it and get that front office working harmoniously.

Does sound like De Boer is interested from his quotes, only question is whether Barca come in for him as well. Club is denying it and leaked they approached 3/4 weeks ago, so likely sizing him up along with Pochettino.

Eh I think we are keeping Eriksen for a while, he JUST got here and I can't see Levy selling him unless we get another crazy bid. Which might happen if he keeps growing in the next couple seasons. He was getting a nice partnership with Soldado for a while but the idiot Sherwood has benched Roberto so who knows what potential is there...

Can we just get back to talking about our shitty club and how bad this season has been and what manager is coming next we can complain about?

both De Boer and Pochettino are very good and focused on developing youth so that's a positive since I'd say we have some very impressive youth players. Townsend clearly still has a lot of work to do

I hope Pep would love to take on a project like ours. Would be amazing. I'm dreaming and nobody can stop me. Frank De Boer seems the obvious bet though if he is in.
