Chelsea fans better hope that Roman stays a while because the minute he is gone Chelea are done Anzi style This style won't bring new fans so they could potentially self sustain. United Barca Real Bayern all had revenues much bigger than Chelsea and Chelsea had similar numbers when it comes to transfer fees and wages
Lets not forget another thing that people might not consider and that is certain players and their ego who put themselves above the manager. Rooney, Lampard, Terry, Xavi, Messi.. sometimes they get to decide more than they are supposed to just cause they have played long time in that team or are icons. Some managers have strong enough character and can shut this down but some that are weak will be overrun in the dresser.. Its a lack of respect IMO.
Dislocated shoulder. Btw, Cech turns 32 on May 20. And the contracts of both Cech and Courtois expire in 2016. Just throwing it out there. Btw, I didn't watch today's semi. Sounds like a good decision based on comments I've read. I'm not even sure I'll watch Wednesday's game. Europa League I may watch. Benfica just clinched their league this past weekend. Good matchup with Juve.
Two defensive teams and some people actually expecting goal party and exciting game? Does this result reminds you of a certain game from 2009? maybe the same thing will happen in second leg...
The winner will probably win the CL final. It looks awful when they play each other, but its pretty easy to visualize one of those 25-30 crosses by Atleti or one of those FKs from the edge of the box by Chelsea resulting in a goal or 3 if they were playing against a mediocre defense like Madrid or Bayern. Of course it was only 2 years ago that a much weaker Chelsea with 4-5 players injured/suspended beat Bayern in Munich. Anyway, not the worst result for Atleti. At least 3 experienced Chelsea would-be starters for the 2nd leg are injured/suspended and getting just one away goal now seems huge. Mikel also suspended, although he probably wouldn't have started. But the big winners today are.... Liverpool. Anything less than a 2 goal victory for the Reds on Sunday is hard to imagine now...
Their captain got sent off in 2012 second leg against us and still got a draw. Hopefully, Atletico will pull Iniesta stunt in the second leg. They did that against us in second leg, so its not impossible. 0-0 isnt bad result since there's no away goal adventage for Chelsea, so they must win the second leg OR any kind of draw result means an extra time or elimination. Chelsea beat PSG on away goal adventage now they dont have that.
Interesting article on how Glazers are making huge money even as Man U struggles on the pitch this year: http://online.wsj.com/news/articles...9904579517811093967356.html?mod=djemMTIPOFF_h
Goetze needs to come in. So is Muller. Ribery plays badly and so does Robben In the end Bayern will still progress.
They've never done, though I think they should've delayed the re-introduction of the blaugrana shirt until Pep is gone, as it's just too "Barca".
You mean get scored first by Real and then beating them right? In most EC Real scored first usually and Benzema was the guy to do it. Even the 2-6 started with 1-0 by Higuain IIRC
We're seeing yet another prove that football heavily based on possession is getting less and less effective
People criticize Chelsea for spending millions and playing bunker-and-counter football in the CL, but Real Madrid are doing the exact same right now having spent more than we have?? And Bayern are so overrated this season. They were better last season IMO, just the level of the Bundesliga has dropped/they took all of BVB's players.
