We're playing well, not really too worried. Ribery has been playing pretty terribly, though. This game needs more Muller.

It's bad for first half. Not horrible, but it's not a good look esp with their counter attack and the fact we have to score now :p

this is the only way out for now. This will also give Robben better support and space.

    I would like to see:
    1. Faster transitions when we do get the ball back from them.
    2. Take a few long range shots, we may get lucky with a rebound. Plus it may pull some of the defenders out.
    3. Attack through the middle, everything has been down the wings. Very predictable.
    4. Play some freaking defense when called upon.

    The unimpressed with bunch:
    1. Ribery
    2. Mandzukic

All season. It's just so predictable. Pep is so arrogant that he thinks whatever he does will work and prove the doubters wrong.

I wouldn't worry. Exit not worst case. Team clearly not "there" yet. Next season better indicator of what Pep will want from attack. Balance between Pep and Heynckes modes creating a bit of disruption rather than harmony at times, especially in extra-small margin of error matches like this.

Agreed. Real Madrid was clinical, but Bayern has been the better team. Just need to play that little bit better in the final third.

If Rafinha ever play in the CL playoffs again I'll travel to München and murder Pep ... Real most dangerous attacks came from Rafinha's side ... Besides, he has been crap in offense too

He has been that way since he came back from injury ...

As dangerous as their counter attack has looked, it's still 1 goal, not 3 or 4, although they very well could have scored that many. The key is for the team to remain calm and keep working. Could use some tweaking, but we're still in this.

I'm sure Pep is smarter than me when it comes to soccer, but I honestly don't understand why you move the best RB in the world to DM...

We have Martinez, arguably one of the best DMs in the world, that is on the bench because of this nonsense.

All criticism of Lahm in midfield MUST be trolling.

Lahm is better at recovering defensively than Rafinha.

From what I gather the CBs and attackers must bring world class magic every match day to be acceptable, yet Lahm should win the Balon d'or for passing sideways quickly in midfield.

Way too early to be overly negative. Bayern looks 100x better than they did at any time vs. MU or Arsenal. Giving up the goal is not good, but the entire goal/preferred outcome of this game is to score at least one goal and not lose by more than 1 goal. So far so good but Bayern must score the next goal. An away goal is absolutely critical. With what we have seen so far Bayern could score at any moment (or give up another counter-attack goal, to be fair). 1-1 or even 1-2 is fine, just need to score and not give up more than 2. Of course 2-1 or 3-1 would be best.

Too early to pull Ribery though I have no problem pulling Rafinha, moving Lahm to RB and geting Muller on the pitch.

Change of formations, change of roles. The 6 demands a lot more, which I'd say Lahm plays better than anyone.

Why fix something which isnt broken I have to ask.Pep has shifted so much around,Lahm playing as right back in the last couple of games and now again in the middle.,all those unnecessary changes destroy our team chemistry and confuse every player, there was no need to over-complicate things or to give up on our quick counter attack with inteligent possession game.We became the best team by using Borussia Dortmund tactics and the team we beat 7-0 mostly due to tactical reason has become the team we have copied tactically and became worse.

On the bright side, Kroos have been majestic. Has stepped up his game a lot since previous games. I agreee god Lahm has been poor and Ribery as well. Götze please

Good game so far guys. Be glad your CL campaign didn't end in one game at the Bernabeu.

    Should be 3-0

    Keep your heads up.

ribery has 10 minutes to show what he is made of, either he can get the ******** off out of the pitch and let gotze take over. tired of seeing him playing like a noob week after week.

By next season I mean the 2014/2015 season. Sorry I didn't spell it out.

It also didn't mean Bayern won't be able to overcome this result if ends in loss but just general statement.

Also would be odd for this side to retain CL in history hindsight. Still something missing.

idk about that. Martinez is a $40m man, and he's quite capable of greatness. We're playing Rafinha at RB FFS. Rafinha who is very below average. Works against the Nurnberg's of the world... not so sure about Real Madrid.
