In salvador mine they did not accepted and Im portuguese, everything was in portuguese and autenticated, they refused.
JaWC2014 says in rio it was accepted, so I think this dependes the location you want to collect tickets and probably the person that is in the guichet, At this point it seems there are several rules and not the same in every fifa ticket venue center, but its brasil if you pay 50 reais you probably can do anything....

From my personal experience, when I went to the 2010 FIFA World Cup, I arrived 2 weeks into the tournament to South Africa. I had Category 1 tickets for all my matches. But when I went to print out my tickets, I got seats nearly in the nose-bleeds.

I am not sure if when people pick up their tickets from the FIFA Ticketing Centers that if the seats are assigned in First Come First Served method. I would want to print my tickets out as soon as possible to avoid this from happening again. I have a pair of tickets from the last minute sales phase that I have to pick up once I arrive in Brazil, again 2 weeks into the tournament!!! Unfortunately, I do not know anyone personally in Brazil who can do me the favor.

I don't know if anyone else has experience with this.

FIFA has said several times that seats are assigned on the very moment you buy them. You can even see where you are going to seat (which rows, blocks etc) when you buy them now.

I did think about that. But then someone posted their experience with picking up tickets on the first day. They said a lot of people were cussing out of the place because they had spent the money for CAT1 and got top tier-corner seats. So who knows.

    I have one Cat 3 Match 56 ticket 1H v 2G in Salvador (Likely Germany/Portugal v Russia/Belgium). I would like to trade it for a ticket to Match 23 - Uruguay v England.

I guess any trade would need to be done face to face in Sao Paulo.

Has anyone tried to contact FIFA to get details of their seating assignments? I know I saw my seat assignment (Section 100's) when I purchased the tickets, But now, I do not see any details when I log back in. If anything, I would like to have proof of my seat assignment when I go to pick up my tickets in the case I get upper tier seats again.

The quality of your seat is not determined by how early you collect your tickets.

cat 1 seats are between the corner flags and go right to the back of the stadium.

Now FIFA execs, sponsors and national Football Associations all get cat 1 tickets as well as the general public. Now give a guess who gets the worst seats.

Funnily enough buying your tickets late can help. You can end up with sponsor returns.

Yeah I got sent a link but on further investigation it is incorrect. Hoping the seats in the photo go right around. Valcke visited Curitiba later on Tuesday and said there is “still lots to do inside and outside” the Arena da Baixada stadium. He was not happy that 27 000 seats were yet to be installed and said that it’s crucial the venue is finished in time for a test event on May 14.

A very helpful person from this forum told me he did this and it worked in Rio when I asked the same question. We are sending documents to my cousin tonight so he can pick up tickets for us as well. I should know by Monday if it worked. Will keep you all posted. We have notarized letter in Portguese, copy of passport notarized and all ticket confirmations.
