Let me give it a shot.....

    Another International complaint on Estudiantes?

During the last few days of last week, it was know that Victoria de Honduras ractify their decision to not send the documentation to allow the forward Kevin Hoyos to continue to play, he has played for that team as a loan last year.

He is the younger of the Hoyos brothers, he was discovered and assested in Honduras, and the decision to return to Estudiantes was anticipated (he had a contract until June of this year).

At the moment, Kevin Hoyos had used a provicional clause to play the first games in the reserves. But the provicional clause has expired and until the transfered documents are not sent, he can not play.

Given the position of the Honduras team, there is a possibility that they will file an international complaint for not honoring his contract.

Is kevin eligible for 2016 Olympic team? If so, he's a shoe-in.

    Yes he is eligible

No he's not a shoe-in. The highest level of play he has played in has been the Honduran league. He has never played for the US.

If he does well somewhere, he can get his name in the mix because he is a forward with size, but a shoe-in?

There are only 18 spots on the Olympic roster with 3 going to overage players. That's not a lot of guys

Shoe-ins would be Luis Gil, John Anthony Brooks, Julian Green, Will Packwood, DeAndre Yedlin, and Wil Trapp

Agreed. Outside the top few teams, the Argentine league isn't as good as it used to be. Jose Adolfo Valencia, who couldn't buy a goal with Portland last season, is currently one of the top scorers in the league while Hoyos hasn't ever been made the bench.

But at forward, how many players are better then Kevin Hoyos right now? Green, maybe, then....? Hoyos will compete will all of them.

Sciaretta predicted these forwards for 2016 Olympics:
    -Paul Arriola
    -Lynden Gooch
    -Rubio Rubin
    -Ben Spencer
    -Duane Holmes
    http://americansoccernow.com/articles/who-will-make-the-2016-u-s-soccer-olympic-team

    And Ives predicted these forwards
    FORWARDS:
    -Omar Salgado
    -Mario Rodriguez
    -Jack McBean
    -Daniel Cuevas
    http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/1679...ecting-the-next-us-olympic-team?ICID=HP_PN_28

Since those two commentators picked completely different names, it shows things are still wide open two years away.

But Kevin Hoyos has scored more goals (6) in professional games than all of the above players. He's also started more professional games (12) than any other player on the above list (not counting reserves games and the like).

So while Kevin might not be a shoe-in, he definitely has a good shot.

I believe he got a contract with Estudiantes and remains with their reserves:

You can add Ged Zelalem, Rubio Rubin, Bobby Wood, Emerson Hyndman, Cody Cropper, Jordan Morris, and Joe Gyau to that list.
