    I thought Barca couldn't buy/sell this market?

They are allowed to sell - they can't stop players who want to leave. And they can bring back players who are out on loan or promote youth players. The only thing they can't do is buy players.

Who wants a bet that Barca will turn over this embargo on incoming players? :D

I just can't see it holding up. Barcelona are like UEFA's favourite child.

I literally haven't come across someone who thinks it will hold up.

Everyone is just assuming UEFA will overturn it. That's a good bet.

Never doubted it. Now they'll just sweep it under the rug until everyone forgets they were even supposed to be banned.

To be honest, what we did was much worse. But your point still hold true, they didn't even bother giving a reason why they suspended the ban. Its like yeah they paid us what we wanted so no need for more details, you all understand.

If Sanchez is going to Juve then I think we should go after Shaqiri. Players with same potential. We should make Juve realise that even Referees can't help u next season.

We need to get involved with Sanchez. I am not someone believes we should go throwing cash around for a striker, but he would be absolutely perfect for us. he can play centrally and out wide, is a proven commodity in Italy AND CL. If we cant get Sanchez and Juve do eventually get him, we need to drive the price up at least.

Obviously he is not a replacement to Benatia. He could be an addition to the player who replaces Benatia, or a replacement to Castan who has 2 years left on his contract and still not a word about renewal, or more likely just bullshit like most of our links with Spurs.

Vertho could be similar to Chivu for us, cover both CB and LB positions and sometimes even DM if DDR is out. I dunno how good he is in these positions, but from what I saw from him in CB I think he is overrated, especially if his price is more than 15-16M. If he is available for that price he might be a good deal, but I think Saba is considering selling Castan who has an offer from Chelsea. I'm not sure if replacing Castan with Vertho is the best idea, but theoretically speaking Vertho is faster and more skilled, so in CL you should be able to reach higher with him than Castan. But breaking up one of the best partnerships in Europe is always risky.

Talking about bullshit rumors linking us to Spurs players, today Lamela visited his former teammates in Trigoria. I'm sure this will trigger at least one wave of rumors.

I'd be disappointed with his signature as the starting RCB. It's probably just nonsense anyway.

Who's the wise guy who just can't stop taking the piss and posts rumours about Roma and Spurs players on a daily basis? I don't want to read about "Benatia replacement". It makes me angry.

    Guys, it's becoming an epidemic.

Apparently our entire squad will be bought by an Italian club this summer. Someone said that Eriksen would apparently be sold for €18m. As if that would ever happen.

Thing is he's been back a few times, I mentioned it before. One of the physios at Roma is a back specialist. One that he's been seeing his entire time at Tottenham. Most of the press still can't process the fact.......... he's really injured. They love fabricating these stories.

A few months ago from Sherwood: "He's had some treatment from the Roma physios and our guys and he's been pretty much everywhere to solve the problem"

This time he visited the training and also supposedly went to Saba's office and stayed there for a while  I'm sure they can milk this one more.

In any case it makes no sense for Spurs to sell him now, just like it makes no sense for Roma to buy player who has a very bad back injury that he can't get over and hasn't played for a year for 25M.

So according to the media we are trying to buy Vertho, Sandro, Paulinho, Lamela and even Erikson if Pjanic is sold. Apparently Baldini is a double agent whose purpose in joining Spurs is to send their players to Roma on discounts.

    I don't really believe it.

I think some Italian journo just got wise that Lamela has been going back to Roma for treatment which has been known since around January from some Spurs fans and invented a story. As I said, that's typically the tact of these journos. They have a little bit of information and color in the grey area with soap opera nonsense.

Apparently they think he has the power to do that as well. As if Levy would ever let someone other than himself sell any player at a discount, especially Eriksen which was suggested. I'm not really sure what's happening with Baldini, he's never had the power to do that. We brought back Broomfield, top scout in England and my guy says there will be a restructuring because some significant things are happening away from the pitch this summer. I haven't seen anyone say that he's going to leave though.

Lamela made a poor career move. He had Rome at his feet.
