You are reading too much into things.
Foerster resigned, and Marrufo did not attend the Florida pre-season clinic where the new photos in the new shirts were taken, so they used his old one. Nothing "significant" at all!

Didn't know that about Foerster, and I didn't mean to imply I thought there was anything up with Marrufo. It just made me laugh because he stood out and I was brining it up. Definitely nothing significant, just something I noticed because it stood out so much.

These matches were assigned well before Guzman's miss last week. His assignments over the next month or so will be the real key.

Am I backwards? Took another look and yes I am.

It must be the retaliation nature then, from the obvious frustration of getting sandwiched. I suspect some prior goings-on might be involved as well but haven't gone back to identify them.

Exactly...nothing looks even close to reckless to me, and it's obviously not tactical. Odd.

Jasen Anno disagrees with that decision.

Reverse tactical? No that's not a thing.
Pretty strong push, and the defender was pretty pissed. He thought it was a good card!
    Maybe there were 'priors'...

He took it with very little complaint, only offering a half-hearted attempt to claim it was shoulder-to-shoulder. Perhaps PI that had been previously set up (he did have 3 fouls)? Or maybe it's just the nature of how we went directly into the back--the opponent was pretty agitated about it. Looks soft without context, I admit... but there are clues that tell me it was expected and/or justified.

PI is the only explanation that would make sense to me, but there was no indication of that given by Gonzalez when he showed the card...and the caption/explanation on mls website is "bad foul by #$%#$%#"...but that doesn't mean much either. The lack of any significant protest by the player is def notable, but it's hard to imagine this card was simply for that tackle only.
