Players from the 1998-2002 era that I think could start for Pep: Scholl, Matthaeus, Elber, Lizarazu, and Sagnol.

A young Matthäus would obviously walk into any team in the world.

Absolutely. It's amazing that a player with such incredible game intelligence would be so stupid off the pitch. I would love to see a young Matthaeus play in the modern game. He was born for today's type of football.

He is one of the best players in the history of football.

With Peps stubborn tactics we are too dependent on Thiago,we need a player with similar attributes in our squad.Romas Pjanic would perfectly fit the bill.

Spot on. Coincidence the losing streak all began with Thiago's injury?

nah, the bad form started way earlier than that, it is just that Bayern overshadowed it with turning on for 20-30 minutes before sleepwalking the rest of the match

Far enough but it was made apparent at that moment. One moment typically doesn't define a situation. True.

It would be interesting to hear from the players just what they feel is the difference.

50 million and we've got a deal if we can get Pogba or Koke.

Would be a good spot for Contento to play for a good coach. Wish him all the best.

    I'll take it. Deal.

Yeah that Pogba deal seems great. Don't know if I want to replace Kroos with Pogba, mostly because I think Kroos extends when it's all said and done.

Pogba is so much more mobile than Kroos and isn't one dimensional like Kroos is.

Kroos is a good AM but far too one dimensional for CM/DM. Limited mobility, no defensive capabilities, struggles getting box to box, doesn't know when to time his runs, can't mark a man to save his life, can't make clean tackles, etc.

I know I am in the minority here. No need to tell me how great Kroos is at passing sideways and keeping possession. I'm well aware.

Being objective in my critique and not being a fanboy doesn't mean I don't like him.

If "you don't like Kroos" is all you took away from that you should read it again. The criticisms are true.

What I get tired of is reading how great Lahm and Kroos are at keeping possession and how pretty it looks.

Fanboys flock to the pretty football and totally neglect all the other aspects that were heavily important in the club's previous success that are now suffering greatly or non existent. Then they wonder why things start going wrong at the business end of the season.

It's hard to see considering you've never tried to refute any of the criticism with anything other than what amounts to "yeah okay man."

"Kroos is amazing. Make him the highest paid player. You guys will see."

That's about it as far as your rebuttals are concerned.

Didn't Pogba play at the right winger or whatever it's called in Juve's 3-5-2 last year? Pogba as our RB? 60 for a fullback? yolo!
